a new religious identity for myself

I have come up with a new religious identity for myself

And I am the only person I know of who believes this way...

I now identify as Simulationist Christian

Which means that I believe in Simulation Theory

But also in Christianity

I believe in the resurrection of Jesus - which is the heart of Christianity

However, I believe that this was orchestrated by The Simulation literally "playing God"

But the question is - am I a Christian who believes in Sim Theory - or a Sim Theorist who believes in Christianity???

Over the next few days I shall be pondering this and many other questions

If you think the Simulation is the one that is pulling the strings..... probably a Sim Theorist who believes in the Bible.

No need to answer if this is too debate-y or such.

Did you reconcile your beliefs about the Abrahamic G-d with your Christianity?

I agnostically believe in a Supreme Being - a deist's God Concept

But I also believe in a type of Demiurge who has power over this reality

But I simply cannot being myself to believe the historical record re: the Abrahamic God

I believe that the events of the NT may have been orchestrated by The Simulation

And that the events of the OT are mythological - but that is not to say that they are without value or that they are devoid of truth

That's where I am at the moment

Do you perceive simulation as events that occur or have really occurred or in simulation theory do things only appear to have happened?

A simulation of what one sees could be a mirrored reality of what one really is, can't you ?

Look in the mirror much, now....that's an image, simulation or not ! !

Do `souls`, `spirits` have either of these...just curious

What does Jesus save ?...From an illusion...with or with out ...the mirror ?

I think some things have happened, yes

But that the historic record is imperfect
