Isn't sweetcorn a type of corn? And yes that's what he said. Sweetcorn.

I googled it. Apparently this is one of the moments British folk and american folk talk differently. I did not mean wheat. We never call wheat corn. We call sweetcorn here in the US corn.

If you just say corn I picture corn in a field, as I live rurally.

In the UK its always the full sweetcorn if one is talking food.
