It is my view that you can put anything you want on a pizza. But never more than 2-3 things at a time, chosen carefully.

Asiago and artichokes, for example (with a white sauce).

If you've got to do pineapple, a small amount of smoked ham, mozzarella and a little caramelized onions would do the trick. That, too, should go with a white sauce.

Three toppings isn't bad. I do 3-5 typically. Thinner crust = less toppings.

I like a double pepperoni with pineapple. Sweet and spicy. Typically with a red sauce.

Never done pineapple and white sauce.

I heard in England some folks put corn on pizza...i don't know if it's true and if it is if it's a regional thing tho.

One must be careful, though. There are enzymes in pineapple which quickly tenderize meat. These are neutralized in your stomach, but they are very harsh and will dissolve meat. So...when you're putting the pineapple on your pizza try to keep it away from the meat. Don't mix the pineapple with anything.

I use pineapple juice as a marinade base to tenderize meat for that purpose! :)

That's a thing in Japan.

And I was very surprised when I first encountered it while there. Not bad, but not what I expected to see on pizza.

Also yes to pineapple. The best topping byfar.
