Our dog was trained to allow tooth brushing. We buy beef-flavored toothpaste - expensive but it works.

The winning solution: get a steak or burger. Pick it up and call your dog waving the goodie around. I'll bet in no time flat, coming when called will be automatic. Getting the dog to not demand the goody every time is your next challenge. My dog is trained to come when there's chicken for dinner... that's about it

She was a rescue dog and any attempt at training is seen as a threat and she hides, a supposed professional dog trainer even failed. It took 2 years to convince her that when we took our shoes off she wasn't going to get a flogging. So we just try and let her be happy and gave up on the training.
Damn, we had a rescue dog that cowered whenever we would pick anything long up. Garden canes, belts etc, it was heartbreaking to think what had caused her to react that way.

Yes.To be recycled for next year?
Yes.
Decided to bring my steam engine back there again.
I'll also bring a cake to celebrate its 200th birthday.

Would that 'take the cake'?Either way I feel it is likely the cake will be destroyed.
Are you saying that your steam engine is going to be 200 years old? I didn't know they had steam back then.Yes.
