None of those passages mention person. But the center of our personhood is in the soul, but we are not a complete human person without our body, death destroys our unity and breaks us utterly. So in that sense those who are not with a body are not fully human persons.

You were right it didn't mention a person. So I read in Genesis 35:18-19 if it mentions a person or not and it did.:)

This scripture doesn’t mention “person,” either.

In scriptures, the spirit and soul are sometimes used interchangeably. Sometimes “soul” means the spirit and body together.

The words are used and interpreted differently by various people. It doesn’t matter much how one understands it, it matters how they explain their understanding to someone else so that others may understand what they mean.

One may argue their own point, but will not be successful in getting everyone to believe the same exact interpretation.

Soul can have various meanings. In these two scriptures, it’s the soul that leaves the body when we die and continues to exist after death, until it is time for the soul to be reunited with the body.

That came from Hellenism:

During the period of the Second Temple (c. 515 BC – 70 AD), the Hebrew people lived under the rule of first the Persian Achaemenid Empire, then the Greek kingdoms of the Diadochi, and finally the Roman Empire.[47] Their culture was profoundly influenced by those of the peoples who ruled them.[47] Consequently, their views on existence after death were profoundly shaped by the ideas of the Persians, Greeks, and Romans.[48][49] The idea of the immortality of the soul is derived from Greek philosophy[49] and the idea of the resurrection of the dead is derived from Persian cosmology.[49] By the early first century AD, these two seemingly incompatible ideas were often conflated by Hebrew thinkers.[49] The Hebrews also inherited from the Persians, Greeks, and Romans the idea that the human soul originates in the divine realm and seeks to return there.[47] The idea that a human soul belongs in Heaven and that Earth is merely a temporary abode in which the soul is tested to prove its worthiness became increasingly popular during the Hellenistic period (323 – 31 BC).[40] Gradually, some Hebrews began to adopt the idea of Heaven as the eternal home of the righteous dead.[4

The soul is the entity that exists when the spirit that gives a body life enters into it -- either at conception, at birth, or sometime in between (I don't think we really know for sure when). You're right that the soul is the person, but when the spirit leaves the physical body, the body dies and remains dead until the resurrection when the spirit (which has, since death, been residing in either the spirit prison or in paradise awaiting the resurrection and judgment) re-enters the newly perfected and glorified body, giving it new immortal life, meaning that the soul will continue to exist forever after.
