After I Die?

While we are speculating, lets also speculate that a gigantic man named Atlas is holding up the world (has anyone seen his hands?). But if he's holding us up, who is holding him up? So we must speculate that Atlas is standing on a giant tortoise. But if the tortoise is holding up Atlas, what is holding up the tortoise? We could speculate that the tortoise is standing on some support (ad infinitum). Speculation is like that...it starts with a fairy tale, and it gets more and more bizarre.

It isn't long before you have whole cults swallowing poison (like the Jonestown cult or Heaven's Gate cult). Weird speculation about religion paves the way to weird speculation about dying to reach the afterlife (and maybe there is no afterlife).
`
Clara,
All I got is speculation, on how to spell this word, or that one before.
That's all I got !

What will happen to me after I die?
As in what will I experience?
What should I expect?
What is the basis for your answer?

Well the Bible spells it out pretty good, we can regard the death of the body as the final stage of human evolution where our souls leave our squishy bodies and we become purely spiritual beings-

"So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable...it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.. flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Cor 15:42-50)

The basis for my answer is what Jesus taught at John 11:11-14.
Jesus taught the dead experience ' sleep ' in death.
Jesus was well educated in the old Hebrew Scriptures which also teaches 'sleep ' in death:
Such as: Psalms 6:5; Psalms 13:3; Psalms 115:17; Isaiah 38:18; Ecclesiastes 9:5.
So, one should expect to be unconscious (asleep) at death.
So, after one dies the only hope for the sleeping dead is: Resurrection.
Resurrection on Resurrection Day meaning Jesus' coming Millennium-Long Day of governing over Earth for a thousand years.
This is why Acts of the Apostles 24:15 uses the 'future tense' by saying that there 'is going to be' a resurrection.... Does Not say already resurrected.
Some people resurrected to Heaven, most people resurrected back to life on Earth.
They are the humble meek people Jesus mentioned at Matthew 5:5; Psalms 37:9-11

I find No teaching of Adam's soul leaving his body - Genesis 2:7
I find ALL of Adam was a living soul and at death Adam became a dead soul.
Sinner Adam 'returned ' to the dust of the ground - Genesis 3:19
A person can Not return to place he never was before.
The soul that sins dies according to Ezekiel 18:4; Ezekiel 18:20.
There is No mention of any post-mortem life for Adam, No double jeopardy.

As far as 1 Corinthians 15 that chapter is addressed to Jesus' spiritual 'brothers'.
There are the ones of Revelation 20:6 who have that first or earlier resurrection.
They are not only 'brothers' but are the saints or holy ones of Daniel 7:18; Revelation 2:10
They will serve with Jesus as kings and priests for a thousand years - Revelation 5:9-10

I find the ' afterlife ' belief means being more alive after death than before death.
The Bible does Not teach 'afterlife' but teaches: Resurrection - Act of the Apostles 24:15
There is a BIG difference because what we can learn from the Bible is that the dead know nothing but ' sleep'. ( No pain, No bliss )
( John 11:11-14; Psalms 6:5; Psalms 13:3; Psalms 115:17; Isaiah 38:18; Ecclesiastes 9:5 )
The dead sleep in death until Resurrection Day.
Resurrection Day is a thousand-year long day when Jesus governs over Earth.
What Jesus did on a small scale while on Earth Jesus will be doing on a GRAND earth-wide scale during his Millennium-Long Day of governing over Earth.

Who the heck would want to be resurrected back to this yukky planet instead of to heaven?
You are Not alone in your thinking, but the Bible tells us God's original purpose for Earth is Earth to be a beautiful paradisical garden as Eden was.
Because God will bring to ruin those ruining the Earth as per Revelation 11:18 B, then the people who are left will carry out God's will or purpose for a beautiful Earth.

Kind of like if you were out working in your lovely garden and someone came along and interrupted you. Would you say because I was interrupted I am Not going back to my garden, or rather once the interruption was over you would return ________
Sinners Satan and Adam threw a monkey wrench into paradisical Eden, and once the 'sin issue' is settled here on Earth righteous mankind will make this yukky planet into God's original purpose to have the whole planet became a beautiful paradisical garden as Eden was a sample to copy.

Think too if it is people who make this planet yukky wouldn't those same people make Heaven a yukky place ______
If you had a very beautiful house and it became infested with rats would you get rid of your house or exterminate the rats _____
The 'sword-like executional words from Jesus' mouth' will rid the Earth of the wicked.
- Isaiah 11:3-4; Revelation 19:14-15; Psalms 92:7; Psalms 104:35; Proverbs 2:21-22

Jesus said to the repentant thief on the cross next to him "Today you'll be with me in paradise" which indicates heaven is not on this earth.

Jesus also said "..flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Cor 15:42-50)
which indicates we become purely spiritual beings "like the angels" in a purely spiritual heaven, and that the material earth is gone forever.
As for people in heaven making heaven yukky, that sort of people won't be allowed in..:)

No one really know. We can only guess.
Source: Science.

Some recent scientific studies, suggest that the consciousness remains active and "alive" after the physical death of the body.
This is a very thrilling study and I recommend you read it if it is really an interest for you.

The study examined 2000 people and was conducted by the NY academy of science.
It demonstrates that most people have none, some or exact recollection of up to two hours after their brain is completely dead. meaning, no brain activity was measured.
The reason two hours is the limit, as we are currently limited to two hours because we don't yet have sufficient technology to go beyond it.
I find it amazing and reinforcing my own belief that our existence is not limited to our physical body.
But it is too soon to determine if indeed there is "life" after death, as the evidence for this is lacking.

Did they take some spiritual watch, synchronised with the one in the hospital, in the hereafter to make such a statement?

God explained what happens when we die when he spoke to the first man, Adam. Because Adam was disobedient, God said to him: “Dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Genesis 3:19)

The Bible says: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5; Psalms 146:4) Therefore, when we die, we cease to exist. The dead can’t think, act, or feel anything.

The Bible often compares death to sleep. (Psalms 13:3; John 11:11-14; Acts 7:60) A person who is fast asleep is unaware of what is happening around him. Likewise, the dead are not conscious of anything.

Yet, the Bible teaches that God can awaken the dead as if from sleep and give them life again. (Job 14:13-15) For those whom God resurrects, death is not the end of everything.

What is a spiritual watch?
They made brain measurements. they validated provided information with professional, secular people who did the medical procedures on the patients.
They analyzed the data and came to the conclusion that it is without a doubt no "guess work" of the people who described the medical procedure they were under the status of being brain dead.
The stud was led by Sam Parnia. you can start here if you want to know more information.
And no, there was nothing spiritual nor was it claimed to be something spiritual about this study.
The study simply examines the proposition that consciousness is not dependent on the brain and it is clear that there is a lot more to study about this.

You can start here if it really interests you:

The answer to what happens to each human being when they passing away can not be answered, because it probably will be different for each one of us :)

I don't remember the percentage exactly, but many reported no recollection at all.
30-40% reported the major events that were done to them and up to 5% reported an exact and detailed description of the procedures, the staff, the conversations, etc.
Many reported a calm feeling and a sense of being outside their physical body.

Although it too little to determine what happens when our body is terminated, I find it quite exciting that it is even an option.
