I'd use it as a weapon

I would become a vigilante super-hero and clean up the streets by ridding them of criminal scum!

Open jars. Rescue cats from trees. Help little old ladies cross the street. Crush the bones of my enemies.

That's why you win big... then you lose fairly big, hop from casino to casino doing the same thing. Sometimes you go back and lose it all, or play other games and lose or win according to regular old probability. Make sure they never suspect... but always walk away ahead from one place or another.

Telekinesis could free the world for dependency on oil and end climate change. It would also reduce plastic production and consumption. Maybe we should be working on telekinesis.

Imagine if an enemy shot missiles at you or tried to drop bombs on your city. You could just whisk them away to space. Telekinesis would change warfare as we know it.

"Magic" telekinesis would. Now imagine "realistic" telekinesis (that at least follows the laws of thermodynamic). You can move objects with your mind but you have to generate the force with your body, i.e. you must eat the same amount of calories you would have to if you moved the object with your hands and you would be as exhausted.

I have been thinking about your question this morning, and have not come up with one thing that would make me want to have telekinesis as an ability.

I'm not really up on the latest research, so I am bound to make a few errors in my concepts. We could could group hug the bombs and missiles and whisk them off.

Wouldn't the calories be replacement for the calories that were used? You can use more than you consume. We might use more than we can replace and telekinesis could be a useful, but life-limiting ability based on that hurdle.

I have been thinking about your post for a little while and the conclusion I come up with is that any telekinesis would amount to magic. So physical laws would be no limitation on it.
