Nope, not Chinese, but the Mrs is

Have you been there ?

I only did the Mainland: apparently Hong Kong and Taiwan have more traditions and culture as they didn't experience Mao Zedong's Cultural Revolution where millions died.

Yes, Beijing. There is still a lot of Chinese culture there. Cultural Revolution was from 1966 to 1976

What I like more than the fighting aspect of martial arts is how they strengthen their bodies and get bigger but are still able to use that muscle effectively and efficiently.

Just like in wrestling

And if the more effective stuff CAN be used in the cage and looks better on screen then why don't movies show it ?
Because it can't and it doesn't. The effective stuff is dangerous and ugly. You train it with foam weapons and/or pads.

When I started doing judo after a year of ju jitsu, I found it difficult to apply standing shoulder locks or wrist locks. Even choking and strangling wasn't easy.

That's why I like ju jitsu but I find judo to be more practical. Unfortunately judo is limited
