What are some of your thoughts about Pacifists?

In another OP started by @firedragon , I answered his question, and in his OP I write about being a pacifist.
That made me think, how do other people react to someone who is a pacifist?

So the question may be, what is your view on pacifism and or pacifists?
Are you afraid of them?
Curious to why they think as they do?
Do pacifists create a danger to you as a person?

Do you trust people who identify as nonviolent and pacifistic?

NB: Discussion forum not Debate
There are different kinds of pacifists.
This one carries a Glock #22, & once designed
military weapons.
Peace is a way of life that can be set aside
when exigent circumstances compel violence.

I am afraid of pacificists in my Western country because there are no
pacifists in the nations that hate us or want to do us harm. Or if these
awful places do have pacifists they have no voice, or worse, are
removed.

Ideals are a lot like lighthouses. They are good references to guide our course through life, but they often become disastrous if we steer directly at them. Pacifism is a good ideology for determining our preferred course of action, but should not be assumed obtainable or even desirable in all instances.

Christians are divided into two camps....1. Pacifists who honor God's commandment to "turn the other cheek" "forgive" "thou shalt not kill" and "do unto others as you would have others do unto you." 2. Kill in wars (Iraq, Afghanistan, hoped for war in Niger, etc.) in order to be safer or at least feel safer.

We must destroy life to sustain life. Ultimately, pacifism is not possible in this realm of existence.

Nevertheless, it is a noble ideal, and worth pursuing as we are able, because it's better to enable this existence than to disable it.

Pacifism for me is to be neutral in a situation of war, to not take any side with anyone who takes part in the war. Also for me it is important to not carry any weapon at any time.
In a war situation, I will if I can help wounded people, no matter where they come from, in times of peace I will of course help anyone who does need some form of help if I am able to help them.

For me personally, pacifism also reaches the animals around me, as an example, I will move insects, bugs and so from a road when I see and understand it is a chance they might get killed by a car, truck, and so on.

Since i do live a bit more strict life on this, i can not ask of others to live like i do :)

I think pacifists are not realistic.

I see it as a form of escapism because sometimes in life, you need to stand up to adversity sometimes.

I think standing up with love and kindness is a good way. I believe in having peace in my mind even during hardship caused by others.

Pacifists can only exist because of what others have done to create a place where it's possible. I see it as duty to stand up when necessary, for the benefit of all. The pacifist communities within a country get despised during times of war. You're letting others do the fighting for you, so you can live the way you do. Seems to me that could be considered a selfish abdication of responsibility.

Pacifists tend to live in nations that provide such freedoms because of the threat of military defense. The implied defense provided by Norway's membership in NATO makes freedoms possible for Norwegians. If not you might be a Russian pacifist.
