i didn't say we were god absolute

then jesus is a blasphemer and psalms is errant?

john 10:33-34

psalms 82:6

Jesus didn't say they were gods.

Psalm 82.

God has taken his place in the divine council;
in the midst of the gods he holds judgment. (Psalm 82:1)

These are so-called “gods,”are angelic beings, not men.

I said, “You are gods,
sons of the Most High, all of you;
nevertheless, like men [he’s not talking to men; he’s talking to angelic beings] you shall die,
and fall like any prince. (Psalm 82:6–7)

He’s talking about and to angelic beings, who are sometimes called “gods” in the Old Testament.

oh but he used the quote from psalms. he didn't say the quote was errant. he used it to prove who he was. he was a child of god, as he claimed all were. john 10:33-34

just like malachi

malachi 2:10

god is our father who art in heaven.

No only him, not mere humans. He didn't say that the people there were gods but that he was.

Oh good grief. Look at the context! The verse is about angels, not men.
angel are gods, the elohim(plural) are gods, those gods descend and ascend to heaven.

there is no way of getting around it, over it. god is spirit and that spirit is within self. when the personal self takes that breath of life, into the body, the son of man and the son of god is fully realized

adam wasn't called the son of god for nothing. yet you do not worship, idolize adam, or even melchizedek

1 corinthians 3:16

I can't make any sense of what you're trying to say.
Angels were called gods, that doesn't make them gods. People are definitely not gods and nowhere does the scripture say they are.

1 john 4:20 pretty much says you can't hate your brother and claim to love god.

is that because your sibling is god, even if the sibling isn't aware of it?

No. Person who loves God, keeps His commandments, which are in "love your neighbor". If you don't keep God's commandments, you don't love God.

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. His commandments are not grievous.

so the law is simply love unconditionally.

love the Spirit of God in you with all your being, love the spirit of god that is in your neighbor, love the spirit of god in your enemies

i love the idea of love, i love love in action.

No they aren't because the Bible and Jesus never said that we are gods!
the bible says that we are children of god. that makes me a godling. i am an inferior god. even god's response to moses at exodus 3:14 says I will be what I will be and so I AM

jews don'tcommit the abomination of desolation. they don't advocate the worship of anything created above another created thing, they don't practice idolatry. the bible expressly forbids it

you're suddenly going to use judaism as a defense?

Loving God and my neighbor as myself.

No.

Is this your new kick? That people are God? So you want to see it everywhere, even places where such an idea does not exist?

if god is the father, then the son of man is a godling

Not literally. We aren't godlings. We aren't physically descended from God. It's spiritual. And that only applies to believers.
and that spirit dwells in me. the flesh counts for the nothing. it is the Spirit that enlivens you cannot enter the kingdom. unless you are born of Spirit and water. I have entered the kingdom unlike these guys.
