Republican Congressman Madison Cawthorn Suggests Violence if Republicans Lose Elections

The OP states..
""If our votes don't count, there's going to be bloodshed."

What is actually said is..
""The thing we are wanting to fight for is,, it doesn't matter if our votes don't count, because if our election system continues to be rigged and continues to be stolen,, its going to lead to one place and that's blood shed"

The guy in the video never says "If our votes don't count, there's going to be bloodshed."

He actually says "it doesn't matter if our votes don't count"

He then says "because if our election system continues to be rigged and continues to be stolen,, its going to lead to one place and that's blood shed"

And I hope any American would stand up and defend against any party or any election being rigged or stolen, if it ever happens.
But he doesn't say IF it ever happens, he is saying it's already happened, and that they (conservatives who believe the lie that elections have been rigged and stolen already) must fight. Does he suggest they fight for more fair and secure elections? No, he's talking about violence as if that is acceptable. It isn't acceptable.

So your beef is that a fair (and IMO probably overly generous) paraphrase was presented as a quote?

That's the substance of what you're saying, right? You aren't disputing that he made a threat of violence, just that the quote wasn't word-for-word accurate... no?

If that's all you get out of my posts then thats all you will ever see.

What we are not getting from your posts is any outrage that politicians lie to the people about there being rigged and stolen elections. Do you think it is acceptable for politicians to claim this lie is true, and that it's acceptable to be violent as a response to this even IF it was true?

You're right: he doesn't put a qualifier on it. It's more of a promise of violence than a threat.

Yes - that's the promise of violence.

I strongly doubt you hope that. You've been dissecting Madison Cawthorne's threat to steal elections through violence and - AFAICT - you haven't said a word against him.

Name one honest politician.

Im not a follower if either party. In my opinion both lie and both do wrong.

With that said, I don't need to support dems agaist Trump or repubs for Trump.
I don't need to support dems for Biden or repubs against Biden.

Too many people take politics to a personal level of thinking one is better than the other and right or wrong they stay true to them and support them.

Both parties have had ample time in office in complete control but things changed with time and now its always the same garbage. Not to mention too many have been in office too long. Term limits on every elected office should be set in place.

Since 1857, the government has been unified 47 times, 22 under Democratic control and 25 under Republican control.

A unified government is a government where one party controls the White House and both houses of Congress.

FYI...I haven't voted since the 2000 election when it was shown the peoples majority vote doesn't count. Plus in the 2016 and 2020 elections in my opinion there were no good candidates.
Its pretty obivious there are some that are hardcore republican lifers and some that are hardcore democrat lifers and they will support their party and talk down about the other party regardless.
