It May Be The Taliban Has This Right.

Within its society, the Muslim Taliban places a strong plan of management of women.

1.) Not to be formally educated.

This is in agreement with Biblical 1 Cor. 14:35, "If they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home."

2.) Not be in any leadership in Churches.

Agreement with 1 Cor.14:34, "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak," and 1 Tim. 2:12, "But I suffer not a woman to teach, or to usurp authority over a man."

3.) Not display personal emhancements or jewelry.

Agreement with 1 Tim. 2:9, "That women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array."

4.) Not presume to verbally contribute upon common issues.

Agreement with 1Tim. 2:11-12, "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjugation ... To be in silence."

5.) Not overtly expressing trivia and loud talk.

Agreement with 1 Tim. 3:11, "Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober."

6.) The Men are to be in charge of the house and home.

Agreement with 1 Tim. 3:12, "Let the Deacons be ... ruling their children and their own houses well."

It easily appears that Christian Apostle Paul and Muslim Taliban Men, although a bit too hairy and with limited chatting ability, in fact both understood women well. The Muslim Men have just refined and standardized the presentation of their women by using burkas, and by giving them work at their home environs to keep busy with. This actually is quite similar to The Proverbs 31 Woman we all like to see.

Certainly, no abuse of women is in order in spite of what emotionally intuitive they endeavors might excessively pursue. Her husband's wisdom with gentle reminders and helpful direction will always place a better outcome for the family. Fighting and shrieking never accomplish kindness for anyone.

Are you trying to be:
A) funny
B) sarcastic
C) serious
Scripture is very clear upon these things, requiring only a few passages to specify the plan.

I am sure some people can make humor and sarcasm upon it, given that Scripture infers things not commonly pursued. Sadly, it is the inferences by human thinking which violate God's Word.

What is it that you think Paul and the Taliban "understand well" about women, exactly? By all means, please be explicit: you're already committed to making waves with this post, so you might as well elucidate.

Isaiah Ch. 3 vss. 16-26 will give some very fine answers to this question, although the format of this thread makes it difficult to post that size of passage. I encourage you to look it up.

The forum allows you to link passages by typing the verses in this format (I am not forming the link; the forum automatically does it if you type it this way):

Isaiah 3:16-26

I'll read this and respond.

Edit: For others' benefit, these are the passages:

I suppose they are right if one is a misogynist arseling who hates women and refuses to accept women as fully entitled and equal human beings.
Fighting and shrieking never accomplish kindness for anyone.
Nor does subjugating women. Except fighting does often work when all other means of addressing grievances have failed. Such as the tribes, villages, city-states, and other independent peoples fighting against Roman expansion and oppression. Or breaking the law and casting a vote and going to jail for it. Sometimes fighting is pressuring legislators until there are laws against domestic abuse and rape.
Sadly, it is the inferences by human thinking which violate God's Word.
It's a good thing we do, because we are way better off without things like slavery and considering women as part of a city's plunder.

I wonder whether these passages have different interpretations. I mean, certainly controversial passages like that provoked responses, right? I mean, I have no doubt other Christians interpret them differently. No? Have you refuted all alternative interpretations?

So I have read these verses. It appears that exegetical accounts have the women spoken of in the verses to be particular wealthy women benefiting from the crimes of their husbands against the poor (Isaiah 3:14-15). So, what exactly is it about these particular women that you think applies to all women from these verses you thought important to quote?

All Paul's madness, I notice. Nothing from Jesus.

I'm amazed about those Christians that can quote Paul in detail, but don't know so much about Jesus. For instance, I'll bet that you don't know what Jesus and his disciples did 'in Jerusalem and at the Temple' during that first day of that last week. All Paul....No Jesus?

The "problem" with this kind of thinking about woman is that both the Bible and Quran was written in a different time, a different culture and a time where woman was seen as just a baby machine

I believe if both christians and muslims want to share their teaching with people today, we do not need to upgrade the books we follow, but how we present the teaching that is most important for a human being to realize the truth.

As @Meow Mix rightly point out (in my view) Woman of today has a totally different status in society and by this the rules of how a man should treat female will of course also change. That said, both christians and muslims can still keep their behaviour according to the spiritual part of the teaching (inward) and be able to treat woman as the human being they are.

Woman is not a tool for man`s pleasure.

Although I don't like to see some of what is displayed by feminists, and a straight up denial sometimes that women on average have different strengths than men, as a general rule (with exceptions), and despite my having some bad experiences with extreme liberal feminists, the feminist movement is necessary, and threads like this are an example.

But being in jail I recently heard Muslim immigrants (my city has the record of Samoli immigrants in America) talk about how messed up Americans are for not controlling their women.

I actually admire these Muslim men and even the Christian OP for being blatantly obvious about an agenda to control women and keep them ignorant and narrow minded and brainwashed.

I don't admire their views, but I applaud their honesty. Honestly, I find this disgusting, and were I a women I would be very angry and resent Abrahamic faiths for that reason.

I am not pandering to a feminists as I have known plenty , and they make me uncomfortable sometimes, and strike me as too extreme and irrational at times , as well as minimize feminine strengths (or criticism of women who prefer to have large families and live a more traditional housewife (maternal nurturing) role. )

However, if I were a female reading the OP I would want to puke. Taliban make their women dress like Darth Vader, and I would rather wear a crown of thorns and be nailed to a cross , and die, than be a woman condemned to a full lifespan in Afghanistan under the Taliban.

Feminists can be a bit too extreme and go against my conscience, but feminists are VERY necessary and women have very valid reason to be angry about the Abrahamic boy's club.

@Jonathan27
Did you know Scripture approves of killing a Virgin's Father, mother, siblings, and friends, killing everyone in the city but the virgins, and taking the traumatized girls away to live a life of torture and humiliation as sex-slaves??

How lovely your "God's Word" is. Let's follow it when it goes completely against rational thought, altruism, and completely go against our conscience.

You wonder where ISIS, Taliban, and bigot terrorist groups get these ideas. The Bible sanctions bigotry, slavery, racism, and genocide!!

And how do you know "God's word" is without errors or even inspired by him??

Yes, as I pointed out, it is best for one to read their own copy of longer passages. Familiarity with one's own translation and text in their home is much better than squinting at a screen.

Thanks again.

1) This depends on what sorts of strengths you're talking about, and how much it matters when there's not insignificant overlap. Then there's the fact that some sexed and gendered characteristics are more socially informed than biologically informed.

2) I'm probably an extreme liberal feminist to most, but hopefully our experiences won't be bad ^.^

3) This is a good example, agreed.

But being in jail I recently heard Muslim immigrants (my city has the record of Samoli immigrants in America) talk about how messed up Americans are for not controlling their women.

I try to hate the silly, not the goose. But yes, it can be difficult; especially when it's not only dealing with blatant misogyny and sexism, but all of the more insidious, implicit sorts day in and out as well. It can be exhausting, and I don't really blame women that lose their tempers or run out of mental stamina otherwise to deal with it.

There is a dilemma: "pick your battles" vs. "silence is assent."

I am not pandering to a feminists as I have known plenty , and they make me uncomfortable sometimes, and strike me as too extreme and irrational at times , as well as minimize feminine strengths (or criticism of women who prefer to have large families and live a more traditional housewife (maternal nurturing) role. )

Feminists aren't a monolith, ask two feminists one question and you'll probably still get two answers.

However, if I were a female reading the OP I would want to puke. Taliban make their women dress like Darth Vader, and I would rather wear a crown of thorns and be nailed to a cross , and die, than be a woman condemned to a full lifespan in Afghanistan under the Taliban.

I've felt physically ill several times I've thought too hard about Afghan womens' plight (and the men, at that). There is a large local movement trying to get funds to help displaced Afghans, and we're looking into whether there is eventually any way to fund girls' education if the Taliban allows it and if we can be reasonably sure the funds won't be co-opted (I'm not optimistic about that one). I encourage everyone to consider the same.

I'm just going to try and take a different tact here, in the hopes of finding some common ground.
Do you think the women themselves should have any real say in whether they subscribe to this religion, and to the beliefs of the Taliban?

The core feature of Axiomatic Truth from God is that regardless of whoever would presume to supplant or surpass it will find their best efforts, rather, confirming it.

God's Word is written in Eternity, and is not affected by any person's action or thought upon it.

A Pleasure, once again.
