Sorry, but this really is an example of a religious adherence to a false belief no matter what evidence is presented against. It should disturb most of us, because it does tell us a little something about why human beings can be convinced to blow themselves to smithereens for a religious belief, or fly planes into buildings, or keep life-saving treatments from their own children.
You see it in the people who believe "the end is near," and make exact predictions -- and when those predictions don't come true, imagine nonsensical reasons why, and then promptly go on to fixate on a new date. (This bozo is doing the same thing believing that SCOTUS will overturn the last election soon and restore Trump to the Presidency -- and when the dates pass, as they have, come up with new ones with new reasons.)
Normally, I'd look at somebody like this and suppose that he's just another loon (there are lots and lots of them!), and who cares? Except that I honestly think he is contributing to the doubt of many Americans that their democracy really works. And that is an immense danger.
How can this sort of thing be dealt with appropriately?
