How to Change the World

When we think of changing things, the world maybe, we think generally in terms of changing external things.

But if we're going to change the world, all must be willing to change, not excluding self?

so becoming the change you want to see must be like self reflected in the mirroring of others?

I think there is some truth in 'being the change you want to see'.
It depends on the context, though.
Still, definite value in this approach.

So then those who go about with the idea of changing the world are taking the wrong approach.

Think of your question as a decision-making problem.

We can change our lives by making smarter decisions about our behavior. Doing that will have no noticeable effect on the world.

However, creating a decision-making process that would make smarter decisions in governing a society would change the world.

We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop. (Mother Teresa)

As a great prophet once said, "I'm starting with the man in the mirror."

In nursing, the idea of "self care" has become a well-recognized, important practice. You can't care for others unless you're healthy first, with a solid mental foundation. This echoes the "walk the walk" saying, Jesus' "plank in your eye" message along with other wisdom throughout the ages.

We should care for ourselves, introspect about ourselves, and realize our own potential. Then we'll be examples to others, and better able to help them in their journey as well. Good ideas and practices change people, and then people's words and actions change the world.
