Prophet Muhammed(PBUH)...idolatry !!!!!

I think, among some Muslims, Muhammed is held to a regard much higher than a prophet should be, and that makes me worry about idolatry sometimes

This was said by a muslim
and i wonder if there are any other muslims who think the same way

because i know that our beloved prophet (PBUH) firmly prohibited us from repeating the same mistake ,and make him a god

and as far as i know ,all muslims are quite aware of this issue

When people slaughter other people because of a cartoon, then yes, I see that as if not idoltry, then pretty damn close.

I beg your pardon !
who was slaughterd for a cartoon

it's true that those disrespectful cartoons hurt the feelings of all muslims around the world ,and made them angry

but i haven't heard of anyone slaughterd for that

Then perhaps you should look over this, Maro.

I can bring up countless cases where someone has said anything that could be seen as or was disrespectful to the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) or all of Islam (which they have very right to do, I believe in free speech) and they were slaughtered for it.

Evil incarnate!
When people kill for a cartoon it's called stupidity. The prophet himself did not respond to personal insults that way, and many times warned and stopped the sahabah from reacting in a volitile manner when confronted with the same things. That is a lesson for us.

The further problem that I have with the anger with the cartoon issue is the fake love some muslims have for the prophet. I mean they'll get all crazy about the pictures out of "love" for the prophet, but don't love nor respect him enough to follow any sunnah. I bet if we did a little survey of all the muslims that made an uproar, we'd find little islam in their lives. That is how we show love for Allah and His messenger, by doing what they say, not trying to fight people about what they say about Allah and the prophet.

Agreed ,
the practical translation of our love to the prohet (PBUH) is following the sunna,
but yet fullvieled ,some muslims are not perfect examples of islam , they do many sins in their daily life ,
but deep in their hearts , they have great love to the prophet, and i wouldn't dare to call their love to him Fake

I see what you're saying Maro, but I tend to believe that those things that are harbored in the heart manifest themselves outwardly. One can say how much they love Allah, but if they break every command they come across how much love they got? It is one thing to say I have iman in my heart, and another thing to demonstrate that iman. The proof is in the pudding, talk is cheap, and it's all lip service unless some action is done.

Its like saying I love salaat but never do it. There comes a time when one must walk the walk. I know no one is perfect, but that shouldn't be used as a cop-out either.

jamaesi ,since you r a muslim , so you must know that violence and aggression can never be motivated by the love of the prophet (PBUH) ,
simply because this is not what he has teached us ,

another thing , i do believe in the free speach too , but this is far from being rude ,and insult others in the name of free speech

jamaesi dont judge islam by what muslims do judge Islam by Islam. By its teachings. Firs of all read the Quran dont be fast to judge your own faith (I assume previous faith).

the original comment is accurate.
i saw a south park episode with muhammad in it, it was very entertaining. he teamed up with other prophets to defeat an evil dude.
