Twilight Hue
Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Just like entrenchment politics.I think the idea here is to enact voting laws favorable to getting or keeping one's party in power.
There is nothing noble going on here.

And start with the Republicans who pulled the same stunt in the white houseEliminate the filibuster. For both sides.
No pay for doing nothing either.
Impeach for dereliction of duty and office.
Every time Congress shuts the government down because they did not get their way, the whole f-ing lot of them should have been fired, barred for life of ever having another government job, even in the mail room, and get a new group in there.Oh I have a resounding clue what they are doing.
Hint: Try doing the same thing at your job whenever an impasse occurs. Let me know what happens.
And start with the Republicans who pulled the same stunt in the white house
No. They are preventing anti-voting legislation from being passed by right wing extremists, which is what the GOP has become.Yea. They are not facing things head on and chose instead to run away.
Of course, they could admit they secretly like Trumps art of the Deal.
By running away. OK.No. They are preventing anti-voting legislation from being passed by right wing extremists, which is what the GOP has become.
The bill....Pleas explain how the proposed laws in Texas or any of the other States is limiting voting.

This is just filibuster with extra steps.Texas House Democrats flee the state in move that could block voting restrictions bill, bring Legislature to a halt
Going gets too tough? Run away.
Or
Are they playing with Trumps rule book that they secretly love, but are too afraid and cowardly to admit it. Art of the deal.
Either way, you decide.....
Make political positions pay minimum wage. Make lobbying illegal. Overturn citizens united. Make campaigns use public funding to put them on equal grounds. End gerrymandering. Make the filibuster go back to the old rules so they have to stand and talk the whole time. Give back the right to vote for felons. Making voting day a national holiday. Make voting mandatory. Give government id to everyone free of charge and THEN require id to vote. Shift from winner takes all to runoff voting.Eliminate the filibuster. For both sides.
No pay for doing nothing either.

That's misleading and dishonest, but it illustrates how democrats are doing whatever they can with whatever power they have to stop the republicans from passing laws that are limiting access to voting. Republicans aren't interested in more people voting. let's hope this only motivates more people to come out and vote and elect representatives who have an interest in democracy and fairness.By running away. OK.

Sounds fair and secure.The bill....
- Bans drive-thru voting, even though voters who use the drive-thrus have to show an ID and verify their registration
- Bans 24-hour voting
- Restricts the hours during which voting can occur
- Bans distribution of mail-in voting applications
- Requires mail voters to provide drivers license numbers or SS numbers on applications and confirm them upon submitting their ballot
- Requires people who drive others (non-relatives) to the polls to fill out paperwork
Republicans are upset because they cannot pass their bad legislation.Yea. By running away from it.
Great strategy. Go on vacation.
Depends on the definition of access.Republicans are upset because they cannot pass their bad legislation.
I suggest republicans start thinking about letting people have better access to voting. Are you opposed to that?
Access as in it is convenient for any citizen to cast votes despite their work and life schedule, like drive thru, like long hours that polls are open. Many wage workers have less flexibility and more access means they can vote.Depends on the definition of access.
Absolutely NO non citizens.
Everyone eligible only votes once.
