Texas Democrats are cowards.

Oh come on, are you really this.....um.......you honestly think they're "running away" because they're scared?
Yea. They are not facing things head on and chose instead to run away.

Of course, they could admit they secretly like Trumps art of the Deal.

It's probably more a political ploy. They don't have enough votes to stop it, so they're trying to delay it somehow and perhaps gain more public attention/support for their side. It probably won't work, but it's better than just folding.

Texas House Democrats flee the state in move that could block voting restrictions bill, bring Legislature to a halt

Going gets too tough? Run away.

Or

Are they playing with Trumps rule book that they secretly love, but are too afraid and cowardly to admit it. Art of the deal.

Either way, you decide.....
Interesting how you said nothing about the Republicans doing the exact same thing in the white house....

My thought is along the lines of:

"Don't demonstrate the effectiveness of a maneuver if you do not want said maneuver used against you."
and
"What's good for the goose is good for the gander."
and
"Do unto others as they have done unto you"

The Democrat coccus of Texas specifically mentioned that they were leaving Texas as to not give quorum to the assembly to pass laws that would restrict the vote in Texas. They can't beat the vote head on since they are a minority, but without quorum cannot be passed. They cannot stay in Texas since the law authorizes the police to arrest them and force them to present themselves to the vote so they have to leave the State. They are currently in Washington DC, discussing with Biden who wants to push a legislation that would protect voting rights from States who wish to restrict it as to guaranty that all the US citizens have the same voting rights and that its not a piecemeal system where you might be able to vote more easily in one State instead of another.

Loved how you played this. I've got to keep this in mind. Something along the lines of "I could easily have continued that thought, but we both know you couldn't take it. So I stopped short out of the utmost respect (at least I think this is what it is called)."

Bingo. It's not about principle but about supporting the traitorous right who wants to make it hard for the mobility impaired to vote, cancel teaching true American history in favor of politically correct history and so forth.

I applaud the courageous Democrats who are standing up for "Truth, justice and the American Way".

Yeah. They did the same in Indiana when Mitch Daniels was running Right to Work through.

It's a total sham that are elections are so secure yet Republicans have created this problem that doesn't really exist. Lots of other countries are far more relaxed, it doesn't take hours to vote, it's simple, easy, painless. But here, well, Trump said it himself the chances of Republicans decrease as the voter turnout increases. So they have to cheat and decrease voter turnout by creating a problem that doesn't even exist in Imagination Land.

So, a certain percentage of voters have to vote in order for the vote to hold any validity? Disallowing the vote to a sizable segment renders any business covered invalid? Well, you don't say!

This is a common political tactic in Texas. Their representatives have been doing it for decades. Honest. It's their version of a filibuster.
Eliminate the filibuster. For both sides.

No pay for doing nothing either.

Impeach for dereliction of duty and office.
