What's the Deal with Evolution?

No we are not part of the animal kingdom. I kill animals and eat them. Your idea would make us all cannibals. And spiritually, we are distinct from the animal kingdom. We are given dominion over them, not over humans.
I hope you cook them first.

So you propose and entirely new kingdom composed only of humans and separate from animals, plants, fungi, etc.

Can you provide the objective evidence that constitutes this separation so that I can see it too?

It's included in the package. It's not just evolution per say. It's abiogenesis and matter coming from nothing, also. And where did energy come from?
Can you explain how you are lumping all these different concepts together and the evidence you are using to do that? It sounds like you have at least three concepts intermingled here and claiming they all self started out of nothing with no rules. I am fascinated. Enlighten me.

We do? Of course God formed the earth. Everyone that's a Christian pretty much has to believe that to believe that the Bible is correct. It's in the first verse.
So no true Christian considers the story to be allegory? None of that stuff about accepting Christ as their savior counts for anything otherwise?

I don't. And I'm not at war with science. Science has to be able to be tested and repeated to be real science.
Can you show us all where the theory of evolution is not subjected to repeatable testing and is not "real science". You say it with authority, so it should be easy peasy cake for you to show us and explain it all away.

We aren't spiritual animals. That's new age nonsense.
And it leads to the Peter Singer type nonsense of making some chimps equal to humans. It's an animal rightests dream, and I know because I've had these conversations with them.

The whole animal rights agenda is rooted in a Darwinian evolutionary worldview. If all creatures and plants are merely evolved species, then one is not “superior” to another—just different.... a rose and a scorpion are as valuable and worthy of care as a human baby or a bull.
If a fish is just a species that hasn't yet evolved a higher consciousness, how can you eat it? It's your kin. Let alone a pig or cow or deer.
We are not animals because we were created separately, and in the image of God.
Animals have no rights according to you. We can beat a dog at our leisure because it is a chunk of meat without feeling.

I wonder how cultures with more compassion than you show were able to come to their views while existing prior to Darwin?

Only he isn't. He's no relation at all because God created him to be a squirrel and then go back to the dirt, but you are made in the image of Yahweh and made to live forever in God's presence.
Wouldn't there be the relationship of being Created by God? Do you think God wants us to feel free to torture the squirrels wantonly if we choose because they are not one of us?

"You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain."
-Deuteronomy 25:4

"If a bird’s nest happens to be before you along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, with the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young;"

-Deut 22:6

"But you must not slaughter an ox or a sheep on the same day as its young."

-Leviticus 22:28

Seems to care about animals.

I agree. The concept of animal rights did not arise from the theory of evolution, but has existed in some form in many cultures including those that form the basis of Christianity. Conflating the two is just a political ploy to comingle two concepts that some find distasteful.

Who said anything about no rules?
One follows from the other. Science cannot explain why matter exists, except it matter seems to come from energy. God provides the energy.
And then the life energy, also from himself.

Not only is this obviously wrong (we van explain lots of things), but since "goddidit" doesn't explain anything, it just move the problem, that leaves you in exactly the same situation as atheists.
But it does explain everything that's important. A being with no limits who cares about each individual person changes the worldview dramatically from: " I'm just another animal."
