If president A would murder president X

If it was Trump murdering someone on 5th avenue, the Republican Senate wouldn't say anything. I'm not so sure about the State of New York not putting him in prison though, which is going to happen anyway. ;)

If Biden and Putin were in a closed door meeting in Russia and, when the doors opened, it is determined that Biden is dead. If the champagne glasses were quickly taken into evidence and If an immediate autopsy found Biden's glass to contain a deadly poison, then no, President Putin would not go to jail.

In all probability, the glasses would disappear and the coroner would be sentenced to a distant gulag for falsifying the cause of death. A second Russian coroner would find that Bidenad died from natural causes - old age. The Russians would even cremate Biden's body as a service to all Americans.

There will be lots of silly answers to this question, but it is, in my view, a very real question, with deep importance.

The FBI (which comes under the Department of Justice) really does seem to have come to the conclusion that a sitting President cannot be indicted. The Mueller Report certainly thought so. No qualifiers are given as to the nature or seriousness of the crime, the only criterion being is this a sitting President, and if so, then it seems to be hands-off.

I find this to be utterly non-sensical, frankly. The Framer's could easily have made the President immune from indictment, but they did not. And one of the reasons give for POTUS not being indictable is that the Executive branch would be unable to carry on its constitutional responsibilities. But that is obvious nonsense, because the Constitution provides for a Vice President, empowered to act when the President is somehow incapacitated. And an indictment would certainly be an incapacitation.

at some meeting between them, would president A be put in jail? The jail in what country?
Depends on the nation of the murder. And how determined the nation of president X would be to exact justice. It would still be an international crime.

That isn't a hard law, and many others hold the other opinion. And, indeed, it was an option Comey had and some others would have have pursued it. But it is the opinion of Comey (and many others) that you can't.
But there is no law that says it can't be done.

Xi probably wouldn't be any different. I'm not sure Biden/Uncle Sam would do it any differently.
