Oneness, peace and goodwill

I remember reading somewhere a long time ago that a prejudice is ‘an attachment to an untruth’.

In this modern age where technology has provided the means for the different races, religions, cultures snd nationalities to mix and mingle, it would be I believe, irresponsible to foster any kind of prejudice especially online where it is read by an international audience spreading far and wide the seeds of enmity.

If used aright, RF can be a forum for reconciling the long time differences and misunderstanding between peoples, or it can be abused to further incite prejudice, bigotry and hostility towards one group or another.

There is good and bad across all societies. But mostly good I have found. So very often I am humbled by the goodness and kindness I come across daily.

I question myself more and more as to whether I am being generous and magnanimous enough in my posts about other races, religions, nationalities and groups as more often than not I see that it all too often falls short. In truth there is beauty and truth in all people.

I have some of most beautiful friends from all walks of life and there is so much goodness to celebrate in their diversity.

Peace to all.
Well you know that some religions think they are the only ones that got it right. And they can usually back it up with things said in their Scriptures. So right there you got some people who think it is the right thing to do, the Godly thing to do, to tell other people in other religions they are wrong. So how are Baha'is going to fix that? In fact, Baha'is are sometimes right in the middle of the argument telling the people in some other religion that they are the ones that are wrong.

And I don't know things are going where you live, but here in the U.S., it doesn't take much to get people mad at each other. Politicians can't work together and think the other side is going down the wrong path. We've got mass shootings. Road rage shootings. And then we send our military people around the world to help do what? Keep the peace? I guess? If shooting our enemies means keeping the peace.

What are Baha'is doing and what are they going to do? Because from what I remember the Baha'i Faith expects the world to get much worse. Then, after all else has failed, then the people of the world will turn to the Baha'i Faith. But what about right now? What do we do? The world seems to be in the control of the wrong people. But is there the "right" people? In certain places religion has or has had control, and things were still bad.

Most Baha'is are busy building up their communities so there will be a place for people to come to when the old world order comes crashing down. Most Baha'is are not on forums talking about the religions of the past or talking about social and political issues.

I recently decided to reconnect with the Baha'is in my community so I attended a Zoom Feast. But I already knew what the Baha'is are doing because I get all the e-mails from the NSA and UHJ and the Baha'is in my community.

Baha'is are trying to build the new world order. The old world order is going to crumble on its own, it does not need any help from the Baha'is. You can see everything crumbling all over the world and especially in the United States, just as Baha'u'llah said it would. The United States is also beginning to fulfill its spiritual destiny, just as Baha'u'llah predicted. Of course it won't be quick or easy, but nothing worth having is ever quick and easy.

“This is the Day in which God’s most excellent favors have been poured out upon men, the Day in which His most mighty grace hath been infused into all created things. It is incumbent upon all the peoples of the world to reconcile their differences, and, with perfect unity and peace, abide beneath the shadow of the Tree of His care and loving-kindness. It behoveth them to cleave to whatsoever will, in this Day, be conducive to the exaltation of their stations, and to the promotion of their best interests. Happy are those whom the all-glorious Pen was moved to remember, and blessed are those men whose names, by virtue of Our inscrutable decree, We have preferred to conceal.

Beseech ye the one true God to grant that all men may be graciously assisted to fulfil that which is acceptable in Our sight. Soon will the present-day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead. Verily, thy Lord speaketh the truth, and is the Knower of things unseen.” Gleanings From the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, pp. 6-7

All the predictions that Baha'u'llah made coming to pass is yet another proof that the Baha'i Faith is true. Meanwhile, the Christians are still waiting for Jesus to return on the clouds and fix everything that is wrong in the world and raise them from their graves or meet them in the air. Which one of these religions seems more logical to you? Which one seems more rational? Which one seems more likely to be the truth from God? I cannot make you see it, I can only help you to see it, because I care about you.

I CG how are things your way?

I don’t believe any words without deeds can mend the disrepair between faiths. I believe that mingling with them, praying together, going to their churches and mixing with them as equals with no intent to convert is the right approach here. When it all comes down to it we are all just people. That is our common foundation. We sometimes go to mass and have very good relations with the Christians here and are friends. Also Hindus and and Indians. We just create friendships and that breaks down barriers.

At the end of the day the bottom line is the fact we are all human brothers and sisters.

As if its a binary choice lol, one need not even choose religion at all.
That is true, nobody has to choose any religion. I said that because CG has told me on numerous occasions that he is "still choosing" between Christianity and the Baha'i Faith.

I did? I am? Which version of Christianity did I say I was thinking about "choosing"? It is more accurate to say that I'm still open to either Christianity or the Baha'i Faith being true... going by the mess world is in. However, I've also said that does the Bible and/or the NT have any prophecies that say that Christ/ The Messiah would come and the world remain in a mess, and getting worse, nearly two hundred years after he has appeared? I don't know of any. Do you?

With the Baha'i Faith, all the other major religions are true. They just all lost their way as people took control of the religion. With Evangelical/Fundamentalist Christianity, all the other religions, including Judaism and all the other "Christian" churches, especially the liberal ones, are wrong... actually, most of them are more than wrong, they are false. For me, why choose, I can't follow and obey the rules of either Christianity or the Baha'i Faith. But, like I said, both have predicted a world that war and evil and disasters and disease are running rampant.

If Christianity is right, then Jesus comes and casts out the devil and destroys all the evil unbelieving people. With the Baha'i Faith we've had wars and strife. And Baha'is aren't or can't fix it. It's has to fall apart before people turn to the Baha'is to fix things. By doing what? Putting their system of governing in? Some Baha'is say "no"? That the Baha'i administrative order and Baha'i laws are only for Baha'is. Then what? A non-Baha'i, secular government is going to "model" themselves after the Baha'is system? And what Baha'i laws are they going to include and which will they leave off? And we are going to trust this secular government to do the right thing? I doubt that.

But then would it be any better if the majority of people became Baha'is and had the Baha'i administrative people rule the world? It might be better than the secular government, especially for Baha'is. But, I don't think it would be a perfect system. How are a bunch of Local and National Assemblies of Baha'is going to run whole cities and countries? And a question I've asked a few times now... how are they going to enforce the Baha'i laws? And still, what are they going to do with the minority of people that don't become Baha'is? What will they do with drug dealers and prostitutes? What will they do with beer, wine and hard liquor manufacturers? What about gay marriages? Would they get annulled? What about big business and the stock market? In a Baha'i world who is going to work on the farms and do the "dirty" jobs? And if these things don't get fixed... how much better will that world really be?

That is what I meant, that you are open to either Christianity or the Baha'i Faith being true...

No, but there are also no prophecies that say that the world would not still be a mess nearly two hundred years after he appeared. There are no prophecies that say any mess would be cleaned up in any given length of time. How long it will take depends upon how long it takes for people to recognize Baha'u'llah, but even if they don't as long as the follow His counsels that is sufficient to change the world situation. I see that happening already, ever so slowly.

“My object is none other than the betterment of the world and the tranquillity of its peoples. The well-being of mankind, its peace and security, are unattainable unless and until its unity is firmly established. This unity can never be achieved so long as the counsels which the Pen of the Most High hath revealed are suffered to pass unheeded.” Gleanings, p. 286

So you would never choose simply because you could not follow all the rules? What rules does Christianity have to follow? You know about the Baha'i laws but just because you cannot follow them perfectly that does not mean you cannot be a Baha'i.
If Christianity is right, then Jesus comes and casts out the devil and destroys all the evil unbelieving people. With the Baha'i Faith we've had wars and strife. And Baha'is aren't or can't fix it. Why concern yourself with the future? Nobody knows what is going to happen, except God.

Like I said, nobody knows what the future holds for the world. The Baha'i institutions are still in their infancy, they are not ready to take over governing anyone except the themselves. It will be better when people are following the Baha'i laws, that is a given, because those laws are our greatest protection, for individuals and society.

God's Laws are absolutely essential if humanity is to survive, progress and evolve spiritually. God's Laws are a sign of God's mercy unto men. A lawless society is mere chaos. God has decreed as lawful whatsoever He pleased to decree, and has, through the power of His sovereign might, forbidden whatsoever He elected to forbid. Men, however, have wittingly broken His law, and that is the cause of evil in the world.

Below are some excerpts from the Introduction to The Kitáb-i-Aqdas, the Book of Laws.

“In its affirmation of the validity of the great religions of the past, the Kitáb-i-Aqdas reiterates those eternal truths enunciated by all the Divine Messengers: the unity of God, love of one’s neighbour, and the moral purpose of earthly life. At the same time it removes those elements of past religious codes that now constitute obstacles to the emerging unification of the world and the reconstruction of human society……

Throughout, it is the relationship of the individual soul to God and the fulfilment of its spiritual destiny that is the ultimate aim of the laws of religion. “Think not”, is Bahá’u’lláh’s own assertion, “that We have revealed unto you a mere code of laws. Nay, rather, We have unsealed the choice Wine with the fingers of might and power.” His Book of Laws is His “weightiest testimony unto all people, and the proof of the All-Merciful unto all who are in heaven and all who are on earth”.
