Hebrews 9:27

In Hebrews 9:27 was there a comma when Hebrews 9:27 was first written?
Because if there wasn't.It makes the meaning different. With a comma. It sounds like you die.And are judged later. With no comma it sounds like the judgment is immediate.

JoshuaTree

Flowers are red?
Luke 23:43
New International Version

43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

No comma in the original text, my understanding, the comma makes all the difference.

Another interesting point. Many languages like modern Spanish do not have gender neutral nouns. A house is female, la casa. A book is male, el libro. The Holy Spirit is called "he" in the Bible but there is a good chance that it should be "it". The spirit is not necessarily a separate "person" but is simply God's spirit. A part of God. Humans also have a spirit that is not called he or she. Why should God's spirit be different? Just a language difference.

Can you explain why you think the comma makes a significant difference, it seems to me it means that judgement follows the death of the physical body, comma or no comma?

Jesus calls God also the Father, therefore “he” is fitting. :)

...the Father is greater than I.

Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment,
Hebrews 9:27

Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this judgment,
Hebrews 9:27

I think both versions are good and can be correct. Death itself is judgment, according to the Bible.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23

But both still have the precise same meaning, that there is death, and then the Judgement. If you want to call the death of the physical body a judgment, then there are two judgements, one is the death of the physical body for sinning, and the second to determine the spiritual consequences. Correct me if I am wrong, but all good Christian's bodies die yes, just like sinners'?

I certainly agree that the Father and Jesus should be considered male. But those religions that teach that there is a third person called Holy Spirit also call that spirit male. Others believe there is no third person and the spirit is simply God's spirit and is neither male or female.
