What does it actually mean to be saved in Christianity?

John1.12

No, not at all. Not anyone can be the Messiah and the Comforter. Only the one who fulfilled the Bible prophecies can be Him. Many of those prophecies and exactly how that were fulfilled by Baha'u'llah are delineated in the book entitled Thief in the Night by William Sears for people who really want to know the truth.
Can I recommend a book by Mr Melms, this is a book that says how the prophecies were not fulfilled by by Baha'u'llah and that he was deceived by a false spirit. Yes it just came out yesterday.

The 'inward change 'happens the moment you recieve the Holy Spirit . So the moment your saved . ' saved from the Judgement to come .
Yes, ' inward change happens ' but as Jesus said at Matthew 24:13 the one who endures to the end is saved (delivered / rescued)
Even Paul was concerned about being a castaway according to 1 Corinthians 9:27; 1 Corinthians 10:12

I find there are two (2) judgements to come at the same time as found at Matthew 25:31-33.
* One judgement is an 'adverse' judgement for those figurative haughty ' goats '
* One judgement is a 'favorable' judgement for the figurative humble 'sheep '- Matthew 25:37.

Your taking verses out of context. " Endure to the end ( context? ) of the tribulation " .No one in the body of Christ will be there .
' Castaway ' = Failed in ministry, not eternal damnation .
No Christians will be at the great White throne .
Have you read Eph 1.13 -14 .
Eph 4.30 ?

Somewhere along the line you have drifted into either 'Lordship salvation 'or 'conditional salvation '

Yes, I have read Ephesians 1:13-14; in connection to 2 Corinthians 1:22; Revelation 7:4 and Ephesians 4:30,
besides 2 Corinthians 5:5; 1 Peter 1:3-4; 1 Peter 2:9; Romans 8:23; Titus 2:5-6.

Ephesians 4:30 says Do Not be grieving God's spirit (Matthew 12:32) to cause sorrow to Gods' spirit.
- Ephesians 1:13; Isaiah 63:10; Romans 8:23

According to Isaiah 26:20 Christians will be here - Revelation 7:9.
They will come through the great tribulation of Revelation 7:14.

I am wondering what you find or Not find at Matthew 24:13 _______________
The Greek verb rendered to 'endure' (hypome'no) literally means: to remain.
We can 'remain' instead of fleeing by standing one's ground; persevering, or remaining steadfast.
- Matthew 10:22; Romans 12:12; Hebrews 10:32; James 5:11.
Like the apostles, taking and holding a course of action despite opposition or trials - Matthew 24:9-12
So, yes endure to the end of one's life, or be found faithful at the coming 'time of separation' as found at Matthew 25:31-33; Matthew 10:22; Mark 13:13; Luke 21:19; Hebrews 10:36; Revelation 2:10.

You say I have glossed over, but I wonder what comments you'd like to make.
Ephesians 4:30; 4:1 in connection to Ephesians 1:13; Romans 8:23.
They have that first or earlier resurrection as found at Revelation 20:6; 2:10; 5:9-10.
God's spirit in connection going way back to Genesis 1:2
Then, we find Jesus was baptized with holy spirit - Luke 3:16
Jesus' disciples were filled with God's spirit at Pentecost according to Acts of the Apostles 1:5,8; Acts 2:4, 33.
God's spirit leading them in a life of faithfulnes - Romans 8:14-17; 2 Corinthians 1:22.
Gods' spirit produced or cultivated in them to avoid works of the flesh in favor of the spirit - Galatians 5:19-25
Ignoring God's guidance could lead to willful deliberate sins and eventual destruction - Matthew 12:31-32
Thus, the warning given by Paul at 1 Corinthians 10:12 to ' beware '.......
- Those turning wicked will be 'destroyed forever'- Psalms 92:7; Psalms 104:35; Proverbs 2:21-22.
So as Not to grieve God's spirit one needs to control and cultivate the fruitage of God's spirit.
This is why Paul wrote about avoiding tendencies towards being dishonest, lazy, etc in the 4th chapter of Ephesians.
Rather, put on the ' new ' (or Christian) personality and Not allow oneself to drift back to wrong doings.
If one goes against the inspired counsel found in God's Word, the Holy Bible, one could end up grieving God's spirit.
Thus, in Ephesians chapter 5 is the counsel about things to avoid, but you asked about chapter 4.

No, when Jesus referred to eternal life, He was not referring to physical life of the body. He was referring a quality of life, spiritual life, loving God and being close to God. The soul is eternal, the physical body perishes. That is why Jesus said: John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life

All the verses below refer to eternal life of the soul, not life of the physical body.

John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

All souls will continue to exist in the spiritual world after the body dies and they will get a new body, a spiritual body, as described in 1 Corinthians 15:40-54, but not all souls will have eternal life (everlasting life). Eternal life refers to a “quality” of life, nearness to God which, according to Jesus, comes from believing in Him.

“The immortality of the spirit is mentioned in the Holy Books; it is the fundamental basis of the divine religions. Now punishments and rewards are said to be of two kinds: first, the rewards and punishments of this life; second, those of the other world. But the paradise and hell of existence are found in all the worlds of God, whether in this world or in the spiritual heavenly worlds. Gaining these rewards is the gaining of eternal life. That is why Christ said, “Act in such a way that you may find eternal life, and that you may be born of water and the spirit, so that you may enter into the Kingdom.” 2Some Answered Questions, p. 223

The souls of people who are distant from God will not have eternal life; although their soul will continue to exist in the spiritual world after their physical body dies they will be “as dead” compared to those souls who are close to God.

“In the same way, the souls who are veiled from God, although they exist in this world and in the world after death, are, in comparison with the holy existence of the children of the Kingdom of God, nonexisting and separated from God.”
Some Answered Questions, p. 243

"eternal life of the soul," you are a soul !

During the tribulation. No Christians will go through Jacobs trouble .

Any comments about Hebrews 10:26 _______ or 2 Peter 2:21______ Matthew 12:32 ______Hebrews 6:4-6______
Heres the pattern I see you may fall into.
1) Amy verse that has the words ' damnation , shipwrecked, saved , and such ,are taken as ' sent to hell ' or connected to that .
2 ) Verses that are for the tribulation period are put onto the Church
3 ) Some form of replacement theology . This is where verses aimed at Israel are used for the Church .
4 ) OT and NT verses all applied the same .
