What do you think of Luke 16:19-31.And Isaiah 14:9-11.And Deuteronomy 32:22.And Psalms 86:13?

I already posted this on Religions Q&A.But wanted to post it here to get a debate going.Because If I would of stared a debate on Religions Q&A the debate wouldn't have belonged there.:)

Hell, the pit, Sheol, the grave, is generally a place 6' under the surface of the ground. There are literal exceptions, such as a home for the walking dead, the lost, whereas the walking are dead but do not recognize it. Their shallow lives are a representation of a shallow grave. Isaiah14 specifically is referring to the king of Assyria and Babylon, but overall, is referring to the end of the age when the king of Assyria, such as the king of Syria, Assad, will be cut down and the "helpless will eat", and God will have compassion of Jacob/Israel. In the US, the kings and queens, such as Bill Gates and Hillary, will be thrown down into the pit/Sheol, and the nations surrounding Jerusalem (Zech 14) & (Daniel 2), will be cursed with plaques (Zech 14:12) and crushed.

I believe that is all fantasy except for the fact that sheol should be translated as grave not Hell. I believe Hades should be translated as grave as well.

As for the nations surrounding Jerusalem coming against Jerusalem (Zech 14:1-2), it is happening today. As for "Sheol"/hell/everlasting fire, was the name for the burning garbage pit outside the walls of Jerusalem.

It is were they often threw dead bodies. It will be something like the murderers, and liars being delegated to being outside the gates (Revelation 22:14-15).

I believe the fiery garbage pit is Gehenna. I believe it serves as a metaphor for Hell.

I think you are exactly right. Hell is like a burning garbage pit. But why do you burn garbage? To get rid of it or destroy it. The garbage does not burn forever. And people in hell do not burn forever. They are burned up or destroyed.

Gehenna is a name for the garbage dump outside of Jerusalem, often used in conjunction with hell. It is a place where the leadership of the Jews sacrificed children to Baal/Bel, which resulted in the destruction of Jerusalem by Babylon, and is compared to where the wicked will be sent. Similar circumstances stand today. Those who sanctioned the killing of 60 million newly born, or unborn, in the US since the 1970s, will be sent to the furnace of fire/tribulation/hell on earth, for their part. I would assume the death rate of the "great tribulation" in the US will be north of 60 million. A simply shut down on the power grid, due to pressing a computer key, could produce that death rate in a very short period of time. That would neglect the effects of a solar ejections, or a EMP detonation above the US. As with Nineveh, one can choose the justice of men or that of God. Both end in death and destruction.
