Hey! It's been a long few years. Life has really had it's ups and downs. I missed you all big time. I probably have a whole lot of catching up to do. For those of you who I haven't met yet, I joined RF back in 2016 and was super active for about a year before dropping off the face of the earth. For those of you who I knew then, hopefully some of you still remember me, I certainly remember all of you!

After meeting Nietzsche (who will probably not be coming back to RF right away, but I'll try my best) irl, we both sort of spontaneously abandoned everything. Part of this was due to some major life events, part of it was just how busy we got all of a sudden. Over the years I've certainly changed a lot. I graduated with my psychology and religious studies degrees, and now I'm almost done my masters in psychology. Me and Nietz are still tied at the hip. A lot of my views are different than they used to be. A lot of other stuff has happened for both of us.

I'm hoping to be active on here again, hopefully I can get Nietz to be active again too. I look forward to seeing how many of the wonderful people I used to know are still here, and to meeting new awesome, amazing RF friends.

P.S. Is badchat still a thing?

I missed RF since the day I left. I've been saying I was going to come back for years, literally, and finally just decided to do it. Never should've left, this place was the best!

Oh. That. That hurts my feelings. I don't know why, but it does. I guess that's ok if that's how you want to manage your passwords. I put a lot of effort into having separate passwords for everything, so its like a slap in the face. Have I been wasting my time?

I do notice this board seems to attract more thoughtful folks, and it's hard to find that combination on other forums.

Maybe you could give a quick overview of your religious views? Heathenry + Hellenism is quite the combination! Is it inspired by their shared historic roots in the Proto Indo European speaking peoples, or something else? :D

I accept the existence of all pantheons, but am particularly devoted to one Norse and one Greek god. Heathenry and Hellenism definitely have some contradicting ideas, so generally my worldview is Heathen, but my original background was in Hellenism and occultism, so sometimes that creeps in a wee bit. :p

Ahhh I getcha. Heathenry has definitely made it's mark on me as well, even if I don't consider myself religious at this particular time.

What drew you to religious forums initially?

Which Heathen God? Which Greek God? Are they similar? For instance Hel and Hades? Or Tiw, Zeus?

It was probably initially a desire to chat about religion with knowledgable people, since I was a new freshman religious major at the time. I think I needed a space to work through what I believed and learn about a wider range of faiths, I probably came in with the mindset of using the forum almost like a second school, and just ended up immersed in the forum culture and forming friendships as I went.

Odin and Dionysus. IMO they're very similar, not just superficially but in their whole approach to divinity. It feels almost like Dionysus is what Odin might have been like in his youth, if that makes any sense.
