Fully Vaccinated? Ditch The Mask

Do they check you at the door to see if you've been vaccinated?

Anyone can say they are and toss their mask.
The shoppers who are unvaccinated against C.O.VI.D.-19 just put themselves at risk of contracting and becoming gravely ill from maskless C.O.V.I.D.-19 infected shoppers . Whereas, we vaccinated persons need not worry about getting sick by C.O.V.I.D.-19.

How do they know (the businesses) know who are the bad guys and who are the good guys?

Edit.
CDC says that vaccinated people can still get COVID; so, they should watch for symptoms if they are around sick and do what other unvaccinated people do quarantine, wear masks, and social distancing. Since vaccinated people don't know they may be sick (since CDC says it's possibility) I wouldn't put too much hope in the them vs. us view.

I am confident we good guys, namely us C.O.V.I.D.-19 vaccinated persons have almost no chance of being hospitalized or killed by C.O.V.I.D.-19. I suppose the bad guys here, namely those unwilling to be vaccinated against C..O.V.I.D.-19, should assume the health risks posed by being unvaccinated in public against C.O.V.I.D.-19.

I think those not taking the vaccine are not making the risk factor the sole reason to get the vaccine. I think if there were more facts (say one has the virus not assuming they could have it) it would be a bit more "convincing." Not many people are really concerned about risks "unless" it is in their circumstance to consider it. So, saying for example someone in Georgia has the same risk as someone in New York, therefore they are bad guys if both don't take the vaccine would be inappropriate.

Makes me wonder if you guys will carry pitch forks and nooses for the bad guys (serious/pun at the same time).

I don't know if we should split it into 'good guys and bad guys'. Some are unable to take the vaccine for health reasons.

I suppose those who can't be vaccinated due to their personal health condition could shop online or do curbside pick up in order to avoid the risk of contracting any communicable disease.

That's not a bad idea, though some elderly folks aren't comfortable with those things(my father, who isn't able to receive a vaccine for health reasons and doesn't use the internet comes to mind).

I hope major retail stores keep an early time slot for high risk folks to be able to shop without the crowd(elderly, pregnant, and those with health conditions).

I am not in favor of forced vaccinations nor am I in favor of store clerks putting themselves at risk of being assaulted for trying to enforce mask mandates. As a C.O.V.I.D.-19 vaccinated person without fear of getting sick or killed by C.O.V.I.D.-19, I am not in favor of us C.O.V.I.D.-19 vaccinated persons being forced into wearing masks.

That’s what I’m wondering. My guess is it’s as illegal to ask for proof of vaccination as it is to ask what medical condition permits someone to not wear a mask. And I wonder how they’ll determine if enough people have been vaccinated. Just counting vaccines distributed against a census number?

I agree. Not all share the same opinion (the majority it seems does not from what I can tell). It's not a bad thing to get the vaccine because of the risk factor when determining the health of oneself and family as well as moral concerns for others. It totally different to use those same criteria to judge others based solely for not taking the vaccine (or wearing masks) and nothing more.

Smokers put themselves at risk for cancer, emphysema, COPD. Their choice. Just as it’s their choice to not get vaccinated. People talk and act as if it’s a 100% certainty that they’re going to become infected and then die. Not all smokers get cancer.

It’s not their responsibility to enforce mask mandates. They’re not deputized agents of the state. They put themselves at risk doing that. Sorry not sorry, no sympathy.

That's why vaccine passports is such an issue. If some states allow it, I'm not sure how they'd get pass that unless the passport says exemption.

To add to that, not all smokers choose to be close to people who don't smoke. So, they're not putting others in danger of cancer from second hand smoking.

I’m concerned that in time this could become “Papers, vee vant to zee your papers”. Even if it never becomes law or executive order there will be people who will try to abuse it. People are gullible and will believe it’s legal. We’re already talking about self-anointed Mask Karens.

If I am hired by wal-mart to make sure everyone entering the building has a mask then it is in fact my responsibility to enforce walmarts mask mandate.

Wrong, the store doesn’t have the legal authority to put an employee in such a position. The store doesn’t have the legal authority to enforce wearing masks, the police do. Call the police. So stop the bull****, just stop.
