We hear constantlly from this administration that everyone should be vaccinated against Covid.
Yet we continue to see Biden wearing a mask outdoors when the CDC says it is not necessary.
Given that, is Biden sending the wrong message? Basically saying even if you are vaccinated you are not safe.
I was always thought that a leader should set the example.

Then again maybe he thinks he won the election because he wasn't seen; therefor wearing a mask will help him politically.

I think Biden isn't in charge. He's told to wear a mask and he does it.

Oh, the hypocrisy. Trump downplayed much of the CDC and NIH recommendations, said the virus would end soon on its own, and later on didn't tell anyone that he and Pence actually had gotten the vaccine months before. Gee, what are we next to here a complain about, maybe that Biden must cut his nails shorter?

How about "setting an example" to encourage others to wear a mask in public? Plus, there's no binding necessity put out by the CDC/NIH to not wear a mask in public.

LOL! I would rather see a leader error on the side of caution during a deadly and highly contagious pandemenic, rather than ignore the crisis, downplay it, and send the message to people to be foolish with their own lives and the lives of others.

What message does Biden send? Be an adult, and wear a mask the way you are supposed to. Even if you have been vaccinated, and you are around other who may have not been, put the damned thing on. Quit being a selfish, irresponsible child, and be an adult. That's the message, and it's a good one. :)

It has been shown that the covid 19 virus can travel up to 18 feet in free air. Add to that that wearing a mask dramatically helps reduce the spread of the virus

It strikes me that unlike the previous ***** groper Biden is actually showing some responsibility.

SF updates outdoor mask guidelines in accordance with CDC
California updates mask guidance to align with CDC's. What that means if you've been vaccinated

No. I see people wear two masks and most likely already are vaccinated. Does CDC have so much influence people can't think for themselves?

Most likely, he's just over precautious. Age has a lot to do with it. Like I wasn't afraid of heights and swimming and the older I get, I get more precautions given seizures. No less when I'm in my 60s I'd probably go no where "fun."

Anyway. If going by the majority he seems to be doing a okay job convincing people to get the vaccine. People still do wear masks so maybe they are being safe than sorry.

He does remove it most the time when he does his speeches. You guys voted for him. What's the problem.

Clearly I'm on the devil's side because I have and will wear a mask outdoors in spite of the (only now) all mighty CDC.

But of course the point of the thread is to make make scurrilous and unwarranted attacks on the President.

I think Biden isn't in charge. He's told to wear a mask and he does it.

I prefer the grey aliens being in charge rather than Putin who owned and still owns Trump. And I suspect the Chinese were giving Trump money while the Kabuki of the sanctions etc was going on.

Being old and forgetful, I'm sure he just forgets to take it off. And the American people, being mindless lemmings, just automatically follow suit.

If the air outside is polluted or full of pollen, I'd wear a mask.

How dare the president act in a socially responsible manner during a global pandemic. Quit waiting in front of the door, grandpa!

In the UK masks are still required in indoor public places and transport. Whether or not one has had a vaccine jab is irrelevant. It couldn't be monitored / enforced anyway. It's a society thing, not an individual thing. Some people seem unable to buy into that concept.

Over here in the US, businesses can get in trouble if they don't enforce mask policy. I have a feeling when it becomes voluntary, most businesses will keep it for awhile-especially the private ones. I just hope they don't have vaccine passports. I think that would cause more issues than people needing to wear masks indoors (isolated point). Not sure about UK other than the protests I saw on YouTube "T.V." I hope you weren't in the middle of that mess (if you heard of it)?

I'm almost 80 and I still ride a ATV on trails of varing difficulty. When you stop having fun you might as well give it up.

What else do they have? Dontcha know that Biden is senile, not in charge, lives in a basement, stole the election, and wants to steal your Fourth of July and your hamburgers. I've also heard he's a pedophile and racist.

As with creationism, if you don't have a way to promote your position, your entire case will be to attack the opposition. Never a word about why Republicanism is better, only cheap attacks on the Democrats.

Expect four to eight years of a steady diet of Republican voters relaying right wing media memes complaining about nothing, repeating lies and slanders, always in a mind-numbingly hypocritical way. They do it every time, character assassination of any prominent Democrat since Bill Clinton beginning in the Newt Gingrich days. Deplorable.

Suggest you go back and look at the post during the last administration.
But it is understandable. Lemmings are like that.
