This is not a religious topic is it? The topic is death, what are your thoughts about it?

Guess it would involve a little bit with religious topics, so if this is post should be placed else were will a staff member let me know. Thank you.

If you do have any thoughts about death, what are they?

~~ If you are someone dealing with suicidal thoughts on a daily, please seek help and please know that life is difficult, for everyone.

It comes for us all in the end, and we will never know when it comes.

Death is not unpleasant, in fact it is quite the opposite, it's more like falling asleep into an orgasm.

Life is addictive but it always kills you.

And welcome to RF, sit back, relax and enjoy the cake

Every body dies. (In case you're wondering, that's not a typo. I intentionally didn't make that a compound word. ;)) The body and mind are temporary. Just like the car you drove before the one you're driving now.

Death to me, is another "face" of life. Unconscious to this spent world, but alive within a surviving history of psyche. No one can disprove it.

I'll deal with it when it comes.

Fair enough answer. Rival. Thank you for posting.

Hello Hammster,

You say death comes for us all in the end ; and we will never know when it comes ~ Would agree with you about that when it comes to us for no one knows the exact day of their very own physical death.

Interesting thoughts on death is no unpleasant yet, it is like falling more asleep interesting. Thank you for your comment.

Hello ChristineM, Thank you and may you have a great day

Nothing we haven't dealt with before.

Hello Twilight Hue; what do you mean by that?

It's very common. Happens alot. Very unavoidable for many. Other than that, I think more about life.

Hello Viker, would agree dead is very unavoidable.

It is good to think about life, would agree, and thankfulness and joy and love.

Every body dies. (In case you're wondering, that's not a typo. I intentionally didn't make that a compound word. ;)) The body and mind are temporary. Just like the car you drove before the one you're driving now.

Hello SalixIncendium, : You are right every does die eventually.

Would agree with you that the body, and mind are temporary you are right about that Salix. The mind and the heart at least to my best estimation are two of the things in a human being that can change over time, especially when it comes to spiritual things about God.

Thank you for your comment.

Hello ISolde Schulz; Death to you is another 'face of life' ~ Interesting. Not sure what that means.

Unconscious to to this spent world but alive within surviving history of psyche? What do you mean?

This is a pretty big topic but I can throw out a few thoughts, shooting from the hip.

Imo, this is a pretty important topic because we are all going to die someday.
I do not normally think about death unless the topic comes up on the forum.
I never even thought about possibly dying of Covid-19 and I have never been afraid I might die.
I am not afraid of death but I am somewhat anxious because I have no idea what it will be like in the next world.
I mean, what will we be "doing" for all of eternity, what will the scenery be like, where will we live, stuff like that.

Okay, this is what I believe will happen when we die. I believe that our soul will leave the body and cross over to the next world, which is a spiritual world, not a physical world. Our soul will take on a spiritual body that will be comprised of spiritual elements that exist in the spiritual realm of existence. I believe that all souls will continue to exist for eternity, whether they believed in God or not. I believe that the souls of the believers will continue to progress towards God for all eternity, but I don't know exactly what will happen to the souls of nonbelievers. I do not believe that we will have free will in the next world so we won't be able to advance spiritually by making moral choices, as we do in this world. In order to advance we will depend upon the mercy of God and the prayers of others

According to my religion, the afterlife is a mystery for the most part. It is impossible to describe the spiritual world because it is so different from this world. We are given just enough information in order to have faith that in spite of any suffering we have to endure in this life, it is only temporary, and there is a much better life to come.

“They that are the followers of the one true God shall, the moment they depart out of this life, experience such joy and gladness as would be impossible to describe...” Gleanings From the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, p. 171

“Death proffereth unto every confident believer the cup that is life indeed. It bestoweth joy, and is the bearer of gladness. It conferreth the gift of everlasting life.

As to those that have tasted of the fruit of man’s earthly existence, which is the recognition of the one true God, exalted be His glory, their life hereafter is such as We are unable to describe. The knowledge thereof is with God, alone, the Lord of all worlds.” Gleanings From the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, pp. 345-346

Hello Trailblazer:

I believe similar to what you have here and it is a teaching that comes from the bible. Which talks about how everyone is going back to God ~ According to the Lord Jesus Christ all will be resurrected:

That means for those who are unbelievers, and those who were believers. According to what the bible has taught me is that ; All people are going to receive a new spiritual body and not a real earthly fleshly one. It is going to be something that will be given to you by God.

Those who do not believe who are resurrected into a house (mansion) Spiritual Body of condemnation are unbelievers who desire nothing to with God and they are placed outside the Kingdom of God.

Those who are believers are resurrected into a house (mansion) - Spiritual body of life which came from building the spiritual body here while being able to have a relationship with God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The only difference is unbelievers are placed outside the kingdom of God ~ and those who are placed inside are believers who willingly partook in believing and having faith.

~ Sorry for the long write, thank you for all of yours.

I'm looking forward to a new body after graduation.

The answer to my thoughts about death I find I agree with Jesus' teaching that the dead are asleep.
Jesus being well educated in the old Hebrew Scriptures also teach ' sleep in death ' thus that shows where Jesus got his thoughts about the dead being in a sleep-like state until Resurrection Day.

I find according to Lord Jesus ALL will NOT be resurrected because the wicked are: destroyed.
Please notice the executional sword-like words of Jesus found at Isaiah 11:3-4; Revelation 19:14-15.
The wicked are ' destroyed forever ' - Psalms 92:7; Psalms 10:35; Proverbs 2:21-22.
Please notice resurrection is for the 'righteous and unrighteous' (Not the wicked) at Acts of the Apostles 24:15
Sinner Satan also ends up in ' second death ' - Revelation 21:8; Jesus destroys Satan - Hebrews 2:14 B.

According to my beliefs what happens after death will be something that we have never dealt with before.
True, we have never dealt with before, but since ' sleep ' is what happens according to Jesus and the OT, then according to my beliefs after we die we 'sleep'. Sleep until Resurrection Day (meaning Jesus' coming 1,000 year governmental rule over Earth).

Jesus teaching at John 11:11-14; OT at Psalms 115:17; Isaiah 38:18; Ecclesiastes 9:5

Ah, semantics to cover up contradictions in my opinion.
And what is the difference between someone who is unrighteous and someone who is wicked?
