My New Year is April 14. Several Hindu (Indian) New year's are around then. Others are in the fall. I like this time, as it coincides with Alberta's climate change.

For others who celebrate it, do you have any plans? Here, because of Covid, we'll stay home from temple, and plan on 'pretending I'm a priest' and doing a larger home puja ... Ganapati.

And ... Happy New Year to those that celebrate it this time of year. May it bring newfound wisdom and joy.

Yeah, hope it will be a happy year and the virus will die soon. India becoming the highest infected country with the second wave. Hard times. No family congregations.
My wife, prepared the 'Navreh thali' as usual, made every one look at it the first thing in the morning.
The image does not have a mirror, which is one missing item here.
Also the beginning of Spring 'Navaratras" (Nine days dedicated to the Mother Goddess).
Yeah, non-veg., onions, prohibited by higher authority during these nine days.
