I mostly use Spotify, which I pay for. No, I don't really like the idea of streaming because you don't actually 'own' the music; it's even worse than straight up illegal downloads in that regard. But it serves my purposes just fine with its extensive library (more than the other music streaming services, decent algorithm and streaming bitrate. Plus, I can make it sound amazing with the headphones and settings I use.

I have a CD player and CDs reserved for 'hard times'. Lol.

I sometimes listen to radio. I have a local favorite music radio station, too.

You?

I used CDs when the CD player in the van worked. Now I just use the radio, if I can be lucky enough to have it on when there's something worth hearing. I don't have a smartphone, and I don't take the computer in the van, so that's that.

I don't often listen to music unless I'm driving anymore. Too much noise in the house. All the different sounds get overstimulating.

Youtube some but mostly I download and put music on micro flash drives(about the size of a dime). Fore example a 64GB will hold around 18,000 songs. I can add to it or delete from it anytime I want.
I can plug it into many things I have including my truck stereo. Set it it random shuffle and listen to all the music I like.
I also have some with 30 hours of movies/video on them that i can plug into my truck and let the grandkids watch movies.

Streaming mainly. I'm not a fan of Spotify, though. I find that YouTube is my go to for discovering new music, too.

I have a paid spotify account for the clinic and I use it to listen to stuff I know I like. But YouTube is also my go-to for discovering new stuff.

I've got a Spotify premium account, and that's my go to.
Main place I listen to music these days is in the car whilst driving (as I do quite a bit of that) and streaming from my smartphone to car via Bluetooth is easy, and decent sound quality.
Weirdly, I don't use Spotify for my podcasts. Old habits, I guess.

I also have a handful of old CDs in my car in case there are streaming issues or I don't have my phone with me, but will also listen to a national youth radio station I grew up on. Sure, I'm too old to be down with the latest music, but quite a bit of it I enjoy, and it keeps me somewhat relevant. Sorta.

Streaming is how I mostly do it for convenience. (I have Spotified premium, but their phone app is terrible)
I still have my CDs, and even still many vinyls from back in the day, but I seem to have lost all my cassettes. But I hated cassettes anyways, and CDs and vinyls I really don't use much anymore because streaming has made it so I never have to change or flip something.

I checked "other". I mostly listen to a playlist of individually purchased songs. I'm surprised that was not an option on the survey. Or is that considered streaming? I mean it's not streaming since the songs reside as purchased on my iPhone. Is this an "Ok boomer"?

I checked CD, Cassette, Vinyl, and Other, but mostly CDs or more likely, such ripped to Mp3s and placed on flash drives - which I can play via a HiFi unit or placed on a portable Mp3 player. I've lost the ability to play vinyl (no suitable amplifier) and I've lost interest in the cassette player, which used to be my main listening device (copying my favourite vinyl onto such so as to minimise wear on the vinyl), since the HiFi and the Mp3 player have random options to play from a favourites list. I seem to prefer this rather than listening to complete albums and such.

PS I do use Youtube and Spotify but to find something mostly, and I listen to the radio occasionally for music - so altered by votes.

Lightly seared on the reality grill.
Some radio (BBC 6 or 3) and streaming (youtube, bandcamp) but most of my music is played from flac files that I've either ripped from CD or vinyl or bought as downloads.

Can one convert purchased mp3 to flac? (Bought off Amazon and played through the app)
