Taoism...from a Buddhist

Read this before, but came across it again today in the book "Bruce Lee Artist of Life" and it all of a sudden struck me as rather Daoist so I thought I'd share it

“Just be ordinary and nothing special. Eat your food, move your bowels, pass water, and when you’re tired go and lie down. The ignorant will laugh at me, but the wise will understand.” - Master Lin-Chi

Linji Yixuan (Master Lin-Chi) was the founder of the Linji school of Chan Buddhism during Tang Dynasty China.

It is often put forward that Chan is the result of the incoming Buddhism being influenced by the indigenous Daoism, is it not?
