Has Anyone Ever Gotten A Real Result From A Ouija Board?

I don't believe in the supernatural, yet for some reason I'm reluctant to use a Ouija board. Has anyone ever engaged one and gotten a result that is truly inexplicable?

No. But while I was in the mental hospital a few of the patients made a spirit board and used it. On one of their arms there was an imprint of a hand that formed when they started using into.

We threw ours in the garbage can when we accepted Jesus. :)

I too had an experience before I took my Christianity seriously. I had no idea that ouija boards were a means of communication with demons.....I had been told by my grandmother that it was a means of communicating with spirits of the dead. I had nothing to fear from the dead and only expected good things to come from the experience.

Nana brought out her ouija board and we all sat around the table asking the spirits questions.....among other things, they told us simply...."September 8th". We had no idea what it meant because there was no explanation and we all laughed at what might happen on the date that was looming in a few months time.

We thought little more about it until a horrible day that I will never forget. My father had a massive heart attack and died instantly right beside me.....it wasn't until we had to write down the date that we realized it was the 8th of September.

We consequently burned the ouija board....and I learned later during my Bible studies that all forms of spiritism are forbidden by God because of their demonic origins. (Deuteronomy 19:10-12)

Yes, once. I was told my wife would be "Mary", and that I did not know her at the time. I wrote this down at the time, when I was about 12.

about eight years later, I met and then married Mary.

And you're sure nobody was pushing the planchette--even though it still would be a little spooky, or an incredible coincidence.

Anyone who's used a ouija board knows that they're breathtakingly simple to control. Of course, if you ever admit it, you won't be invited again, but the fact remains. Way back when we used to have seances now and then, I was at a table where another woman and I realized we were both doing it, and fell into an unspoken cooperation. Although I never saw anyone do anything nasty, like predict a death or accident &c, it would be simple to do so.

The chances of dying on a specific day and month are 1:365.25 close enough, or about 3:1100. Enough ouija board readings and they'll come true at something like that rate.

I think you're right and yet for some reason I can't bring myself to try one. Silly, isn't it?

My sister played with one and had a blast. Results?

No aside from a laugh, and mental scares, yet that's what it's made for. The psychological aspect is its main charm because of its reputation, the mind thinks and sees all sorts of things so the results are actually whatever the mind conjures and it works wonders.

I get the hesitation though, I have the same reservation for the devils toy box. *grin*

Psychologicaly thrilling.

Yes.
But I don’t think it’s a supernatural or spiritual thing. I think it’s a neurological one.

I think there are neurological things (e.g. telekinesis and telepathy), to do with that huge part of the human brain that we do not [need to] use in our everyday existence, that are therefore both under-evolved and not studied in enough depth and seriousness to fully be utilised or understood [yet]. Neurological “powers” of the human mind, if you will.

I think Ouija board experiences are to do with such things.

As far as I see it, the only danger in playing, is the risk of drawing spiritual conclusions from things that are not actually spiritual; that can properly mess with your view on and priorities in life.
