Should be funny but a stray cat has adopted us. Her favourite poop place is in the upstairs gallery outside the guests bedroom. One, ok, twice, a problem, every day...

heh heh Just so! We've got a dog often like that, whenever it is suddenly wet outside or very cold.

Depends on the breed. Retrievers are infamous for loving water and don't mind rain. My current dog is a pitbull mix from the pound and she doesn't like water, though. She will turn around and run back inside if it's raining. My retriever I used to have wouldn't act like that.I think dogs dont like the wet or cold weather

Honestly i never checked it propperly, But i remember reading somewhere that in the past some sufis had dogs for some kind of hunting, But i could be wrong here.
I must check to be sure.

I checked the teachings from Sufism and it says "Dogs which are kept for a purpose, such as hunting, guarding cattle or crops are permissable."
So i think having a dog for safety or guarding our home is ok
