The winter is over in India. We are averaging 30+, minimum around 15.

Looks like Normanton is much the same, maybe our averages are even higher, at a quick glance.

I also have worked outside all my life here, except for the last 2 years, I found a desk job :D

I think what will bring down the world is pandemics. Scientists are talking about another virus in Africa that is twice as infectious as Coronavirus and has a lethality of about 50-60%.

That is a scenario indeed, but I think with good hygiene practices we can get on top of viruses.

I see that science has found another 70,000 virus that live just in our gut.

This creation is big as far as we can see outward and as far as we can see inward.

Now consider the wisdom of people in past ages.

The viruses that live in the gut are not pathogenic. The viruses we are going to see coming at us are viruses that live in animals but can jump the animal/ human barrier like Coronavirus. Picture a COVID pandemic right now where instead of 3000 dying each day, it's 30,000. Healthcare systems around the world would collapse in a week. They'd have to stack the bodies in deep pits and set them on fire just to dispose of that many bodies. The world economy would collapse in a matter of a few months. This is the apocalypse but there won't be Jesus riding down on a white horse with hundreds of billions of saints behind him. There will only be a catastrophic die-off of about 90% of civilization down to a few million who will then have to repopulate the earth. Nature will heal itself and we emerge from the Dark Ages once again into some semblance of normalcy.

Luckily, I see a loving, happy bright and prosperous future for humanity. Once we have found unity and clean up the mess we have made of this planet.

The Key is to embrace the light, all that builds the unity of all hamanuty, so that all can share in the good this world has to offer.
According to Hindu thought, by insistence on there being one God / Allah and claiming to have messages from that God / Allah, the propounders of Monotheistic / Abrahamic religions have misled people, lied and created strife in the world. There is no evidence for any of the two things mentioned above. They have not done the right thing. Their teachings have been dictatory. This view CANNOT BUILD UNITY. It is an utter fail.

With 10 billion people on earth in less than 30 years and global warming set to begin incinerating the planet the same time??? You've got to be kidding.

Don't read the report below if you scare easily because most of you will live to see this. I won't, thank God.

"The Australian report imagines a world where global temperatures warm by 3 degrees Celsius or even more. That's a rise of 5.4 degrees Fahrenheit. On a worldwide scale it is expected to result in massive, catastrophic shifts to the weather, agriculture and even the habitability of some areas."

Climate change apocalypse could start by 2050 if we do nothing

But please note that the article says -- if we do nothing. ;)
I heard a long program on CNN the other day on climate change and the conclusion was that there is still time to save the world if we act fast.

Does it really "seem to be" so, or do you merely "believe" it to be so by religious motivation?
Because I'm not seeing that at all. Instead, I see a steady and continous trend of societal process throughout human history, with occasional peaks and valleys, but with a trend of progress nonetheless.

It seems to me that you could travel back in time to pretty much any time period of the last 8000 years and you could make the same claim.

I don't see how today is any different in that regard then times of change in the past.
It's a cliché and a stereotype, but just about every generation thinks the "new" generation is "degenerate" and "in my time it was all better!" while the new generation thinks the opposite of the previous generation.

This is just part of the trend and it has been going on for a long time, and will continue to go on for a long time.

I'm not seeing the "sudden" change you claim. Nor am I seeing a "massive conflict" about it like you claim.

Au contraire in fact. It's the citizens of the nations themselves that are standing up against their militant governments. As it should be. Freedom is not something that can be "given" to you. It's something you need to take yourself. One can't "force" enlightment upon people.

If we refer to history, it took a civil war to unite a nation and the fight was human rights issues vs oppression. Today in the world we have a similar scenario so it seems logical that it will play out similarly.

There is--in a world where miracles occur. The hard truth is nations are far too selfish to make the hard choices that will save the planet. Look for things to continue to get worse in the next 10 years as little is done to stop it. Sorry. My one failing is that I am a realist.

An asteroid could be coming my way and I would still work as I must, when the day came, I would sit down and watch the show. ;)

At least the last moments would be an amazing show!

Words can express all things very clearly if someone knows how to use them.
No words can express the nature of the spiritual world because it is so different from this world.

“The nature of the soul after death can never be described, nor is it meet and permissible to reveal its whole character to the eyes of men. The Prophets and Messengers of God have been sent down for the sole purpose of guiding mankind to the straight Path of Truth. The purpose underlying Their revelation hath been to educate all men, that they may, at the hour of death, ascend, in the utmost purity and sanctity and with absolute detachment, to the throne of the Most High…… The world beyond is as different from this world as this world is different from that of the child while still in the womb of its mother. When the soul attaineth the Presence of God, it will assume the form that best befitteth its immortality and is worthy of its celestial habitation.”
Gleanings From the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, pp. 156-157

Word-salad, Balderdash (Google - senseless talk or writing; nonsense).
We know exactly what happens after death - Chemical recycling of what composes the body.

I believe that nations will do what is necessary to save the planet, even if only in the nick of time.
I agree that people are selfish, but they will finally realize it is in their best interest to do what needs to be done to save themselves. My one failing is that I am an optimist, about the world situation, but not about my own personal situation. :(
