I'm betting it'll happen. (Not saying it should though.)
Twitter is a "public accommodation", like a store or apartment
building. Many kinds of discrimination are highly regulated.
I expect that political affiliation will become a "protected group",
just like race, gender, religion, etc.

Interesting. A public accommodation cannot discriminate on the basis or race, gender, religion etc. But absolutely they can deny service to someone who is harassing the other customers.

I expect that will always be the case. But if political
affiliation becomes a protected group, the platform
can expect to be sued for illegal discrimination.
(Gray areas will make it a lucrative endeavor
just as they have for other groups.)

Last time I checked, AOC was largely endorsing public healthcare, higher minimum wages, and a social welfare system worth the moniker. None of those policies are socialist by any reasonable definition, let alone Marxist.

For a long while, Marxists were actually fairly lukewarm over the question of improving the conditions of the working population within the existing system of capitalism - while they certainly approved of better material conditions for the working class, they ultimately saw their goal not as simply improving worker's lives, but to end the intrinsically unjust system of capitalism altogether.
