I'm not here to be judged and inspected... I'm here as a hobby.

...Maybe it's time I leave.

Reviewing the thread, it appears that your posts
are derailing the thread with with personal attacks.
Why not let the guy try for some bi-partisan detente.
'I don't believe you' isn't a personal attack and he derailed it on his own. Feel free to add more to the topic, though.
What would a truly bipartisan party look like if not just 'centrist'? (Again, a misnomer in the US because we don't actually have a 'left'. So it'd just be center-right.)

Nah...a good nite's sleep, some bacon for breakfast,
& a reminder that personal attacks reflect upon the
attacker....not oneself. You'll regain your equanimity.

Your poll so far is anti-bi.
Consistent with all the partisan hostility, eh.

You know, you're the best poster on the forum, Rev. Hands down. Mostly everyone else is all about grinding axes and chopping away.

I'm going to take a breather. Catch you later.

It strikes me as calling someone a liar by other words.

I take positions that are far left, far right, & far afield.
Yet I'm not a centrist.

That's one view.
But many of us see a spectrum which can be loosely
described as left of the middle, & right of the middle.

Then you've misinterpreted. People can be wrong, misinformed, uncommitted or various other approaches that aren't lies but one might not believe.

Having one or two beliefs on one side or another doesn't make a party. Democrat and Republican are parties with a profile of stances (centrist and rightist respectively). And no matter what the OP says you literally can't be both a Democrat and Republican. So what would this bipartisan party look like?

Many see democrats as far left. They're welcome to that belief, even if it's not correct from a historical and global political viewpoint. It's literally reductive. Hence the Overton window.

I reviewed the posts, & stand by my earlier one.
Unless one can make an objective case against
sincerity, it's wrong to presume insincerity.

The OP strikes me as seeking common ground.
Indeed, Dems & Pubs do have much overlap.
In these hostile times, the emotions look more polarized
than their politics are. They need to get past the hostility.

The OP deals with Ameristan so that view is most productive.
To deny it by imposing a European perspective is niggling.

Well...just think that I venerate JFK.
But also Reagan...so I do think that bipartisanship is a good thing.

Liberals....they so often have the TERF mentality
towards others who aren't "real" liberals.

You're not as good at hiding your own bias as you seem to think you are.

All of us humans have political biases; it's just that some of us are honest enough to admit that and not try to pretend to always be "unbiased and tolerant."
