If you like heavy grunge, you should check out the band Melvins. Their beat is epic as hell and their lyric style is unique: their lyrics are basically nonsensical although fans theorize the deeper meaning behind the nonsensical lyrics - maybe they're out of order, maybe they are nonsense because they're supposed to show insanity, who knows...

I've been listening to a few female fronted bands recently. I enjoy harsh vocals but tend to prefer it when they're performed by women. I'm not a fan of the Cookie Monster voice some of the men do.
