Trump's legal team quits week before impeachment trial

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Is that a mantra you read in a QAnon post?
Blame the left!
Blame the left!
Blame the left!
Blame the left!
Blame the left!

What democrats failed to listen to was how truly dangerous Donald Trump was. Had they listened, they might have worked harder in 2016 and prevented the orange narcissist from ever getting elected.
Well what/whom then caused the right to go into such a tizzy? Themselves?

It dosent help much thinking the left are always innocent little angels.

Wake up. They are not.

I blame both.

No. Just that its a shared blame. Both parties.

The, "My party can do no wrong" spiel/excuse is BS.
We are not saying "Democrats can do no wrong", but in this case it is plainly obvious who the blame lies with. To blame Democrats for the insurrection is absolutely and totally wrong.

And no, I would not simply say "Republicans" are to blame, either.

There wouldn't have been one had Trump not spent months going on about his lies of election fraud.

Let's remember that during the runup to the 2016 election Trump was already sowing the seeds of distrust about the election results.

Why Trump's talk of a rigged vote is so dangerous
Why Trump’s talk of a rigged vote is so dangerous

“Remember, we are competing in a rigged election,” Trump said at a Wisconsin rally Monday night. “They even want to try and rig the election at the polling booths, where so many cities are corrupt and voter fraud is all too common.”

“The election is absolutely being rigged by the dishonest and distorted media pushing Crooked Hillary - but also at many polling places - SAD” Trump tweeted on Sunday.

And before that, there was 2012...
Sound familiar? Trump called 2012 vote a 'total sham'
Two minutes later, Trump was warning of a “very dangerous pattern developing across (the) country by Obama supporters,” this time linking to allegations by the Michigan Republican Party that a poll watcher in Detroit had been threatened with a gun.

By about 3 p.m., he started in on the conspiracy theories.

“More reports of voting machines switching Romney votes to Obama,” Trump tweeted, imploring followers to “pay close attention to the machines, don’t let your vote be stolen.”

“Make sure to verify the voting machine does not switch your vote,” he said in his next post. “If you have any problems, notify the poll workers.”

After a smattering of complaints – “Wrong! – about Obama’s campaign schedule, Trump issued another warning at 3:26 p.m.: “If you experience any harassment or heckling at the polling places from Obama supporters,” he said, “make sure you report it immediately.”

Major news outlets began calling the race for Obama a little after 11 p.m., when the polls closed in California. Trump initially reacted to the news with resignation, tweeting, “Well, back to the drawing board!”

But only 11 minutes later, he was calling for public insurrection.

“We can’t let this happen,” he tweeted at 11:29 p.m. “We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided!”

Donald J. Trump.

See post #24.

His rhetoric spread by and encouraged by the likes of Breitbart, Fox, and later OANN.
We can also look at right-wing social media that bounced lies and conspiracy theories from person to person.
On top of that, we have QAnon.

During the 2016 candidate debates, republicans like Rubio, Graham, and Cruz warned how dangerous Trump was. After the election, they all lost their spines and became, and still are, Trump ***-kissers.

So, does he intend on arguing that the election results directly caused the insurrection? That's the only way I can think that he'd be able to present any evidence regarding the election results into this particular trial. Because otherwise, the court isn't set to hear about how the election was "rigged" and Trump should have "won." That's not what the trial is about. He'd have to directly link the election results to the insurrection so that all blame for it can be shifted to that off of himself... but as to whether or not the election results are valid - I wouldn't think the court for this particular trial is even going to entertain such notions.

I dont blame the Democrats for the capital invasion. But I do say Democrats play their role in dividing the country.

It has to do with the anger people feel.
People have been angry and divided for years. The insurrection was specifically a result of the belief that the Democrats stole the election - a belief which was the direct result of Donald Trump and his more obedient cronies pushing it onto their voter base.

To deny this is to deny reality.

It goes deeper than that.

Decades deeper.

Anger over what, exactly? Christian-view marginalization in government and government-related affairs? Political correctness? Concerns over the environment? What are the things that the "other side" stands for or does that cause so much anger?

To quote someone trying to prep him for the last one, Trump is a "goddamned idiot."

Yes, I know Trump is an idiotic orangutan like ape, however Trump and his cult members don't know this. They are tearing apart the G.O.P. to shreds. This diminished opposition to our progressive Democratic agenda will further enable environmentally friendly laws and socialism to be enacted. I'm glad Trump is still around to fracture the Republican Party and thereby weakening opposition to our American socialist revolution.

What anger?

Why are they angry?

Many of them are angry because Trump has been telling them the only way he can lose an election is if he got cheated. He lost because more people could not stand his *** any longer. His sheeples don't believe that, so they are angry. Their anger is fuelled by people like Cruz and Hannity fanning the flames.

Many of them are angry because they believe that an international cartel of Satanist elites is running the world and running a pedophile ring so they can have children whose blood they can drink. Who is telling them this? Trump and Q and OANN.

Idiots are angry because they are wilfully ignorant idiots. If you disagree, well, I'm sure you have your reasons. Perhaps your reasons are based on what Trump or Cruz or Q have told you.
