Ain't democracy cool???

I assume you don't mean 120 years in total ;-)

Reasons as i see it.
* Those stay at home none voters from last time realised what can happen if they don't vote this time.
* There are more voters.

It seems to me that that the majority want to fix america

Votes don't count. Only electoral votes count in the end. That must be changed or the sore will continue weeping.

Its strange.

An elector ought to be representative of the states popular vote. Only thing is the issue of faithless electors and where an elector needs to cast his own personal choice.

Makes me wonder how that works. Does he vote twice? One for himself and then one for the state voters?

Of course. It's not the least bit surprising that the american people really didn't want another disasterous four years with a total garbage administration.

A faithless elector is one that goes back on his work and instead of voting for the candidate that he was pledged to vote for he (or she) voted for someone else.

As a result even though Trump won just as many electoral votes in 2016 as Biden did in 2020 Biden ended up with more electoral votes.

2016 United States presidential election - Wikipedia.

Trump received 304 electoral votes officially and Biden received 306.

Wonder if we'll get the same turn-out in 4 years.

Don't forget the 2.9 million voters who chose neither Biden nor Trump...making the "NOT TRUMP" vote 84.2 million...the margin is then 10 million votes...

There could have been even more, if Trump's phone-call to Georgia had worked. Yeah?

Doesn't the Electoral College make this view wonky?

I voted for neither but all the votes in my state went to Biden regardless.

That's the weirdness of our system. Trump and some others on the right keep emphasizing how many voted for Trump...as if 10 million more hadn't voted for Biden and others...

But yeah, with the electoral college, actual margins don't matter

There's a proposal to fix the electoral college since we can't repeal it. And that fix is to go to a by congressional district vote rather than winner-take-all.

There is another one that uses the current electoral college program but guarantees that the winner of the popular vote gets the electoral college votes of all of the states that sign on. Once the total electoral votes of states that signed the agreement hits 270 the pact goes into effect:
