How about, “String them up by the neck until dead!”?...
or, “Hangin’s too good for ‘em! Burnin’s too good for ‘em!!”
And other commentary along the same lines? Hey! It’s free speech, right? Nothing wrong with speaking one’s mind. Right?

Frankly, the traitorous insurrectionists were incited by Chump-boy. But they also got there anti-democracy and anti-American lies from Fox and similar goons. Chump-boy too, got his lies from these shills. He was simply their brainwashed/brain dead megaphone.
I say, Freedom of the press, always. Freedom to be called “News”? No. There must be standards, and there must be rules and regulations. And there must be punishments. Severe, bankruptcy-inducing punishments and jail time for execs.

Or else we will fall in upon ourselves as another failed nation, studied about in history books.

That’s all I have to say about that.

Oh, I held for a split second a modicum of respect for Fox. That has since fled. Guess that’ll learn me to actually pay attention to any cited videos

We all got to learn sometime. I have no words for Fox. Not at the moment. Not in the wake of their providing cover for violent insurrectionists, their leaders, and their other enablers. Maybe someday. But what they have done now and are continuing to do takes it to a whole new level.

Please Note: The title of this thread is, of course, intended to make a point. I think anyone who thinks that point is exaggerated, or that the sarcasm is misleading, might at some point in the near future be appalled at the recent polling from Pew and other sources that seems to indicate an emerging majority of Americans appear to take a dim view of violent insurrection and those who have a hand of any sort in it.

At any rate, I haven't paid attention recently to what's going on in right wing media, because I had a hunch there might be a few more accurate and reliable sources for current events. But this morning my attention was caught by a left wing opinion and commentary channel on YouTube -- a channel I normally watch even less often than I check out a Fox video.

I do like your title of the Capitol incident as 1/6.
I really hope it catches on.
Let's hope there is not a 1/20, although I read that you have more troops on the ground in US Capitols now than anywhere else in the World.

The cost of that alone should be counted and an invoice be sent to President Trump.

But Fox....... I read a couple of Fox articles and never went back. It is mind boggling to try and perceive how humans could swallow that junk.

There are most likely several different ways a person could get hooked on 'junk'. My nephew was telling me about one possible way about a week ago. He'd just watched a documentary on Netflix based on interviews with former social media executives who explained how the platforms work to send people down rabbit holes.

Basically, their goal is to keep each visitor to their site on as long as they can. So, their computers are programed to gather data about what a person views, analyze it, and then feed them more of the same sort of thing as they have a record of viewing. I suppose the principle is that people will hang around longer if you give them stuff they have already shown some sign of being interested in.

Well, that means in practice that when a person starts to show an interest in something, what they are shown quickly becomes that sort of thing and nothing beyond that sort of thing. That is, they get one side, and only one side of it.

Example. Go on FaceBook and show and interest in political commentary opposed to gun control, and soon you will get solid wall to wall political commentary opposed to gun control. In that kind of environment, there is very little fact-checking, and so forth. So people become susceptible to believing lies. They never get shown anything calling out the lies as lies.

Very interesting.
I can perceive the truth of all that.

In a safe and reasonable way I see this on RF, in that the majority of adverts that I see here are of interest to me.

I was always checking out the gold prices by visiting a Bullion sales web site, but now I don't need to bother because occasionally that company tells me what is going on with prices between RF posts. And ebay might warn me if a particular electric car comes up for auction.... as I review RF.

IT technology is just totally amazing.

For those of you who don't know, Tucker Carlson is currently the Fox Network's most popular program host, and I believe he might be a fairly good indication of how seriously the Network is taking the insurrection. That's to say, it seems to be 'dismissing' the nature, meaning, and importance of it.
Sadly, deflection and dismissiveness seems to be in vogue.

I can only reasonably conclude that Carlson -- and most likely Fox -- are still intentionally trying to gin up fear, hatred, and violence in America even after the start of an arm insurrection against the Government and people.

Sure. They see their audience going over to OAN. I wouldn't be surprised to see Carlson jump over there (except that OAN probably couldn't afford him).

Tucker just reads a teleprompter like the rest of the rejects at Fox.
Someone else does the writing. Tucker's last teleprompter writer was fired for racist comments.

Blake Neff

Tucker Carlson writer resigns after racist posts revealed

What I find weird is how the people who watch Fox idolize Tucker and his message, but the guy who creates that message is a different person.

Why aren't they praising Blake Neff for the message since Tucker isn't coming up with it on his own?
Tucker isn't bright enough to create the wording and script to have maximum impact on the viewer.

He's paid 30 million/year by Fox. At least, that's his base salary. Don't know if he gets any bonuses, options, etc.

Wow! Is there a high security risk there?

Hawaii? I don't know, but I would guess not likely. I suspect the troops there are held in reserve for any trouble that might break out in East or Southeast Asia, and possibly elsewhere. The Korean peninsula, for example, is always a concern, and the troops stationed in Japan are only the immediate back-ups to the ones stationed in South Korea. When you look into these things, you start getting an idea of how America primarily relies on logistics to win wars, don't you?

I think that's getting at one of the roots of the problem, Jay. Money seems to be the taproot, in my opinion, but propaganda is a close second.
Class oppression provides the desperation and propaganda the motivation.
(Meanwhile, note my next post.)
