I always object to people who repeat obvious lies. If you want to dismiss my objection in pejorative terms as being "triggered", I can't stop you, poisonous though your implication may be.

And yes you did say there was election fraud. Which there wasn't. It was certified as the most secure ever, and all the legal challenges were thrown out summarily. Do you claim the judges are part of your conspiracy, too?

And again, who are "they"? The only person claiming the Democrats "fixed" the 2020 election is Donald Trump.
We are " triggered" by your falling for obvious lies. It is time to grow up a bit. Just because your side lost does not mean that elections are rigged. And the sort of lies that you believe are the cause of immoral fools trying to overthrow our government. Right now you may be a threat to the rights of others.
You'll never understand with this line of reasoning. They are setting us all up and you'll never see it coming.

Just remember divide and conquer. Even Jesus said a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. Why don't you see that?

For the third time now, who are "they"?

The only person still absurdly claiming the election was not fair and calling on his supporters to "fight" and "never give up" is Trump.

So who are "they"?

I understand your line of "reasoning" all too well. You are now sounding like a conspiracy theorist. There is a reason that such conspiracies fail.

Well earlier on I offered a choice of Washington paedos, Bill Gates, or lizard people from outta space, but no takers. Could it be because I left George Soros off the list, do you think?
How could you forget Soros?

Yesterday I was debating elsewhere with someone about Soros (He funded BLM and antifa, don't you know?). This was shown by his charitable donations to foundations that were attempting to help with the side effects of racism. I guess that I was shown a fact or two:rolleyes:

First He. Satan incarnate - Donald J. Trump. He has been dividing America going back to the birther issue.

Then They. Satan/Trump's henchmen. So many Good Christians deceived into believing He is almost the second coming of Jesus.

I don't think so. The very act of impeachment is also done by those who are addicted to political power. How can we determine who is addicted to power and who is doing it out of a sincere heart?
Only God can see into the heart's of people and know their true motivation.

But to some degree we can get a good idea from their acts.

And of course, if you look for pure motives on the part of humanity, you are looking in the wrong place.

and both of them "baaaa". I wonder if each side thinks the other is the goat when, in reality, there are goats on both sides as well as sheep.

I've never claimed perfection on the left.

My reference was to those who say they believe in the Bible but ignore Trump's actions excusing them because they want conservative economics and to promote only two things: anti-gay policies and make abortion illegal again.

This is the basis for being a Republican? And bringing unity?

Or, I just don't follow what you are trying to say.

The right suddenly starts talking about unity as if there was a memo distributed to say 'talk about unity' where before until that "memo" came out, it was all about tearing down America and grabbing power.

But to be fair, there are principled conservatives who see what Trump and others like him truly are and reject them as not being principled people of honor.

Not Impeaching would have divided the country further.
So Impeaching is what the American people want, including Biden-voting Trump supporters.

See how easy it is to destroy RW talking points?

No answer in the poll fits. The only reason for impeachment and conviction is justice for crimes committed by the president while in office.
He might not be guilty of any crimes.
But there's a better reason....
He could have enuf support to inspire efforts to win
another election. That could support an actual win,
or at least more violence. Impeachment could make
that an impossibility.

Of course, he may be innocent, but that is determined in the impeachment and trial.

The threat of violence or whatever is not a reason not to impeach and convict.

The impeachment vote for Nixon was 412 to 3. So this vote was no where close to being the most bipartisan impeachment vote of the US.

Also... no Democrats voted against impeachment of Trump in addition to there being less than 5% of the Republican representatives to vote for impeachment of Trump. It's a partisan vote.

Nixon resigned before the House formally voted on his impeachment.

The numbers you are referring to were the amount of people who voted to authorize the judiciary committee to begin impeachment proceedings. And it was actually 410-4.

So yes, it was the most bipartisan impeachment vote in US history.

10 representatives is less than 5% of the Republican party. You really think this is significant for the House?

Fact-check: How many bipartisan bills has Congress passed?

Sean Theriault, a government professor at the University of Texas, said her use of the term bipartisan is fair.

“It’s certainly not telling the whole truth, but a single vote from the other side does indicate that it enjoys support from both parties,” he said in an email. “So, of course, we would prefer Escobar to say, ’275 bills that have received at least support from one Republican are sitting on McConnell’s desk,′ but calling them ‘bipartisan’ is not wrong.”

There were 251 bills that passed the House with a majority of both parties.

If I understand you correctly, then we should compare to the Senate. How likely do you think it is that Trump is convicted in the Senate? Do you think more than 5% of Republican Senators will vote to convict? Do you think any Democrat Senators will vote to acquit? I think it is unlikely.

So what? Ten Republicans is a lot these days, in case you haven't noticed.

The vote was was bipartisan, by definition.

ZERO House Republicans voted to impeach Trump the first time around.

We're not talking about bills, by the way. We're talking about impeachment.

It was still a bipartisan vote. And it was still the most bipartisan vote for impeachment in US history.

Is it possible that more than 5% of Republican Senators will vote to convict? I don’t know, but I think it’s a lot more possible than it was during the first impeachment. Hell, I never would have guessed that 10 House Republicans would have voted in favour of it, but here were are. Things to have shifted a bit this time around.

Apparently the Democrats have more courage to face threats of violence than some Republicans who have been saying they decided to vote against impeachment because they were afraid for their lives.

Congressman says some GOP lawmakers are 'paralyzed with fear,' and think their families will be attacked if they vote for impeachment
