What is the Purpose of Human Existence?

It could be as simple as sharing time with a loved one, to BEing around at the right moment to save a little girl from an oncoming car or to have the PURPOSE of finding the cure for cancer to becoming a leader of peace or we could even have the PURPOSE of becoming an essential part of someone else's existence. Three things I do know about PURPOSE:

1. Your PURPOSE is chosen by you and is usually quite different from anyone else's.
2. It doesn't always have to be pleasant or positive.
3.It is something that cannot be achieved anywhere else except on this physical plane.

“Here is the test to find whether your mission on earth is finished. If you're alive, it isn't.” -- Richard Bach

I think it's OBVIOIOUS! I was put on this earth to... uh, to... I knew it just a second ago. Lemme think. It's on the tip of my tongue... :D

I think that people worry to why about "Why am I here?" and not enough about "What am I going to do now that I am here?"

Either there is or there isnt. I would be so crushed and depressed if there wasnt a reason that it isnt even worth considering. There is the potential for there to be a reason for life and that is enough for me.

It is more than obvious to me that the purpose of human existence is to eat food. Consider the following evidence: (1) humans have always eaten food; (2) humans die without food; (3) food is good.

Even back in the darkest days before Italian or Mexican cooking, people knew that food was both necessary and the meaning of life.

REMEMBER NetDoc, half the fun of completing PURPOSE is discovering what it is.
Painted Wolf writes: Live, Learn and pass it on.

This is a valid PURPOSE but then again all PURPOSES are valid to the individual who chooses them.

Perhaps the closest we get to having a purpose of human existence is to "follow our boon", as Joseph Campbell put it.

What is the Purpose of Human Existence?

If I were to believe the Biblical theory of creation (which I do not), I would say that the purpose of human existence was to amuse a sadistic God who enjoys creating people, knowing in advance that many of them will burn for eternity in a lake of fire.

GOD is LOVE. The opposite of LOVE is fear. How/Why could/would you LOVE an entity that you fear?

This fear is not a morbid fear , but it is a fear of not displeasing Jehovah because i love him,the same way that you would not want to displease your loving parent because you love them. so yes God is love and i try my best to keep his commandments.
"If only they would develop this heart of theirs to fear me and to keep all my commandments always."—DEUTERONOMY 5:29.

I don't know. I'd rather worry about right now. I don't know the future, or the past. So, right now is what should be most important.

I think mankind's purpose in general is to become closer to God, while I think every individual has their own purpose for their life.

Living in harmony with Jehovah’s purpose for mankind means getting to know the true God and conforming to his requirements as set out in the Holy Scriptures. If we do this now, we can entertain the hope of everlasting life on a paradise earth, in which we will never cease to learn new things about God and his wonderful creation. (Luke 23:43) What a thrilling prospect!
