The people who need the hospitals are being kept out from elective surgeries, check ups and that sort of thing, no? The people who NEED a hospital special care/ventilator are probably not what is overwhelming hospitals? They might overwhelm some little units devoted to that sort of care...

Will December's COVID-19 Crush Overwhelm Hospitals?

"At the University Medical Center in El Paso, TX, a tent city is rising from the parking lot to handle the massive influx of COVID-19 patients.

In Wisconsin, an alternate care facility has opened at State Fair Park near Milwaukee to take overflow hospital patients from across the state, and the Mayo Clinic Health System has paused non-emergency procedures to free up staff for coronavirus cases.

Rhode Island became the first state to declare that all of its hospitals are “at capacity” this week and has turned to field hospitals, and medical centers across the country are hauling in mobile refrigerated morgues to store coronavirus deaths."

You know damned well that is not what I am talking about.

I am talking about (a ) the accusation that covid deaths are just relabelled deaths from other normal causes and (b ) that it is myth that UK hospitals are being overwhelmed. Both are falsehoods.

Since most recover, how many are serious cases in those tents etc?

How would we know? Human nature is such that many would choose more money over honesty. Sorry, I am not buying a used car from them. We already see there is room for discretion in the way deaths are called. Add to this that several times more people are killed every year by these same hospitals and doctors for money! (abortion)

As for B one expects a hospital with limited beds for serious respiratory issues to be in danger of being overwhelmed. That does not mean the hospital as a whole. Most people admitted for serious covid were those with underlying issues, and the aged, is that correct still? That is the problem with a bio attack, it kills a lot of people. In this case mostly the old. That does not mean all of society of all ages needs to live in fear and bondage.
As for how deaths are labelled that is an open question. There is incentive financially to call deaths covid related. The way some places do it, such as if you die within 28 days, it is a covid death, are also suspect.

They may be "bad", but necessary to save lives. Apparently you have chosen to virtually negate the scriptural teaching that we are to "choose life".

I have not seen you post any "numbers", although maybe you did on a previous post. OTOH, I posted you three links that actually deal with numbers that you have virtually ignored.

Anyone following this objectively well knows we are in a world of hurt with this covid, and numerous friends and neighbors that my wife and I know have had it, and one of my wife's cousins died from it. But then, what do you care.

Again, such a bogus claim as this has already been explained to you, including estimates from the CDC and the NIH that the actual figure of covid deaths is undoubtedly significantly higher than the official tally.

IMO, it is unethical for one to basically politicize this while several hundred thousand Americans have already died from this and, unfortunately, there's more to come. And this you refuse to accept: Deut. 30[19] “I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse: therefore choose life”.

Is this just some sort of political game with you?

There's no way you can prove that numbers are not being minuplated. In fairness, that can go both ways, but there is no way one can be certain.
