What do Jehovah's Witnesses think of 2 Samuel 11:11?

@Brian2.....believe whatever you wish.....I came out of Christendom so I have first hand experience on both sides of this fence. You demonstrate a very limited understanding of what we believe but are interpreting scripture as you want to believe it. That is your choice and Jesus will be the one to correct all whom God has not “drawn” to his son. (John 6:44, 65; Matthew 10:11-14; Matthew 7:21-23)

Those who support the “weeds”, and who fail to support Christ’s “brothers” will end up in the same judgment as the devil and his minions. (Matthew 25:41) It’s a big responsibility to sort through the mess that Christianity became, (it was foretold after all) but God does not leave us in any doubt. He is the one who sees our reaction to the truth when we hear it....and he is the one who invites us into his spiritual family. I have found my place there. What about you?

You can hang on to your belief in an immortal soul and going to heaven, if it makes you happy.....you base your beliefs on how you interpret the same scripture that we have. So be it. Go in peace if you are confident that you have the truth......but what about your brotherhood.....are they demonstrating true Christianity in the whole world, obediently preaching the good news of the kingdom as Jesus commanded? How closely do you examine their beliefs and practices? No one is an island....community responsibility applies as it always has. If you have chosen to stay in “Babylon the great” there are consequences. (Revelation 18:4-5)

I have nothing more to say to you here.....”shaking the dust off”......

>>>Deeje said: Where did Elijah believe that the boy was? If he was with God, (if that is what you believe happened to him) why would ask God to bring him back to life? Wouldn’t his mother be glad that he was there and be confident that she would join him there some day if that was the ultimate goal of this life?

First of all I would like to apologise for this remark at the start of post 18. It should have read: I can't even believe you think that.

We both have some experience of both sides and we both have been drawn to Jesus.
You have ended up believing (or supporting) whatever the Watchtower Organisation says even when it obviously contradicts the scriptures. My trust is not in a man made organisation.

Those who support the “weeds”, and who fail to support Christ’s “brothers” will end up in the same judgment as the devil and his minions. I would support you if needed but not your false teachings. Any weeds will be removed by the angels and in the meantime they remain.

I have never said I believe in an immortal soul but you ignore that and repeat what the WT tells you I believe. It is clear that our soul can be destroyed by God.
I have no authority over all who claim to be Christians and what they do and preach. It would appear from the scriptures that the true Christianity is the one with the many weeds. It appears that pointing at Christendom because of all it's failings just means it is more likely to be the right church, scripturally.

I have nothing more to say to you here.....”shaking the dust off”...

Sneezing and coughing.............see you around, you're welcome back any time.
