Heal me, O LORD

Being united with his Father is the same unity he expressed with his disciples...
John 17:20-22...
"I make request, not concerning these only, but also concerning those putting faith in me through their word, 21 so that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in union with me and I am in union with you, that they also may be in union with us, so that the world may believe that you sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you have given me, in order that they may be one just as we are one."

Are the disciples God too?

The disciples are the body of Christ, the temple of God. They become sons of God by adoption. The body of Christ is to be united with the head in marriage, and they will all exist within the kingdom of God. It is not possible to enter the kingdom, says Jesus, unless we are born again of His Spirit.

How can Jesus be a “mediator between God and man” if he is God? That is totally illogical, not to mention unscriptural.

Back to this point.

I believe it is scriptural, because Jesus Christ, when speaking as the Son of God, said that he had come from God. God is Spirit, so he is saying that he proceeded from Spirit. Flesh and blood do not proceed from Spirit.

You cannot get a clearer scripture than this:

John 15:27,28. 'For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.'

John 3:6. 'That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.' [Jesus Christ was born of BOTH]

Revelation 22:1. 'And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.'

Jeremiah 17:14. 'Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.'

Do you have faith that the LORD will heal you?

What kind of healing, if any, can you expect from the LORD?
Yes.

Whatever kind of healing you need.

Yes.

I agree, but do we limit the Holy Spirit through lack of faith? Only through praying with others have I discovered just how easy it is to falter and allow doubts to surface. I think that maybe this is one of the reasons why believers often have faith for healing only certain types of illness or ailment. Where they see success, their faith grows.

Where do you place medicine within the complex realm of healing?

I was waiting to hear such good news! I'm very pleased for you.

The sad truth is that few churches have faith for healing. Yet the need is huge.

I believe the problem is that I only believe in healing myself. I have something blocking my belief that I can heal others. I believe God can get me by this block if He wishes.

The gifts were to cease because satan was going to be up to his old tricks. Miracles today are the devil’s trickery because God wasn’t going to allow his servants to be misled by them.

The “angel of light” trick wasn’t going to work on those who are fully informed. The ‘miracles’ of today are a sad imitation of the originals....again I have to ask...where are the resurrections of the dead? Sadly, you ignore what you can’t acknowledge.

I believe you are in error. There is no scripture saying that all miracles come from Satan or that the gifts have gone away.

From my own experience, it's best to begin with young people. Their faith for healing tends to less inhibited by doubts.

When praying for healing with young people, I begin by saying things like, Do you know that Jesus loves you? Or, If Jesus was stood next to you, would you trust him to heal you?

I have sometimes prayed three times before seeing results! I stop at three because of the teaching; ASK, SEEK and KNOCK (easy to remember!).
