My interpretation of Varnashram that offers equal treatment for all

Viraja

Jaya Jagannatha!
Many people cringe at the mention of 'Varnashram'. It is akin to opening a can of worms in public, they say.

I offer an opinion that is so vastly different from the mainstream, yet complying 100% with what is known about this concept, in essence.

In Jyotish, there is a so-called 'Kalapurusha'. He is spoken of as time personified. The keeper of times.

Varnashrama, as defined by Manu in Manudharma Shastra speaks of Purusha.

Could Purusha be the same as Kalapurusha?

Nobody thought so, but I think so! Not because I find any parallels that support the comparison, but rather, I do not find any ideas that contradict the notion.

Therefore, assuming that Purusha is the very same Kalapurusha, Varnashrama could be defined as the emergence of the 4 varnas as follows:

1. Brahmana: Varnasrama says he emerges from the Mouth of Purusha.
My interpretation: Assuming Purusha to be Kalapurusha, mouth is the 2nd house of Rishaba or Taurus. Brahmanas emerge from sign Taurus.

2. Kshatriya: Supposed to emerge from the arms of Purusha. My theory: Arms signifies 3rd house of Kalapurusha. And hence Kshatriya emerges from sign Gemini (mithuna).

3. Vaishya: Supposed to emerge from the thighs of Purusha. My theory: Thighs signify 9th house of Kalapurusha. Hence Vaishya emerges from sign Saggitarius (Dhanus).

4. Shudra: Supposed to emerge from the feet of Purusha. My theory: Feet signifies the 12th house of Kalapurusha. Hence Shudra emerges from sign Pisces.

My theory: There is no inferior or superior among the signs, they are all equals. Therefore, there is no inferiority assigned to any varna, on the basis of which body part he/she emerges from!

Let us next see how the 4 varnas differ in their assigned role in the society, my way.

Mouth - 2nd sign of Kalapurusha. Sign Taurus (Rishaba). Sign depicting a deer's head. The deer's head is the sign of spiritual authority, however has antlers on his head. Antlers refer to egotism. Therefore those who are pious but are given to egotism are made to be born in this sign. Their karma is to be patient and humble, to get rid of egotism.

Shoulders - 3rd sign of Kalapurusha. Sign Gemini (Mithuna). Sign depicting twins. While in the womb, twins are basically 'competitors'. Don't they fight with each other for mother's food supply? Therefore arms are assigned to this sign, people who are competitive and aggressive are made to be born in this sign. Their karma is to risk their lives, fight and protect, to get rid of aggression.

Thighs - 11th sign of Kalapurusha. Sign Sagittarius (Dhanus).
Sign depicting an archer. An archer gains at the loss of another. In other words, his focus is solely on gains. Therefore those who are focused on gainful living are born into this sign. Their karma is to be unselfish, to get rid of materialsm.

Feet - 12th sign of Kalapurusha. Sign Pisces (Meena). Sign depicting a pair of fish. A fish can only live in water. Also it is one species where the larger ones feed on the smaller ones, even if they both are fish! Therefore those with intolerance are made to be born in this sign. Their karma is to serve, to get rid of intolerance.

Therefore, I end with this summary /gist of mine with the note that Varnashrama is not one-sided and no varna is supposedly superior to another by creation! All varnas emerge from various signs of Kalapurusha and all toil for their betterment.

Any comments are welcome.
