Perhaps...possibly...sometimes membership in a group
is more about personalities involved than objectivity.
Your social skills are far superior to mine.
Are they? Huh. I believe you're the first person who ever elevated my social skills above their own. I'm super awkward. :p

My personality has never saved me. And I believe I have a pretty objective view of the world. I pride myself on it. I just also express those tricky emotions!

Awkward IRL doesn't always mean awkward on the internet.
We don't hear voices, or see faces or crowds....a wonderful thing.
Btw, my emotional IQ is in the single digits.

Well sure. I socialize on the internet so often for a reason. Have you gone outside? It's madness out there!

Fwiw I think you socialize just fine here with all the joking around you add in.

I like the reduced social interaction IRL. And no hugging!
Poor social skills benefit from having fun, & avoiding anger.

If they have legit grounds to sue, go for it, but this idea that women need to prove it before they speak out is just thoughtless.
Not just women, but folks need to be sure of facts before they shout their mouths off. Any allegations about sexual offences can ruin a person's life, so truth and proof should be present, I reckon.

I'm not too worried about necessarily having proof if a person actually did something horrible to me. They now have a reputation that matches their actions. They deserve some humbling.

Whether people believe me, or whether legal action occurs, are completely different issues.

Fair enough.
But there have been instances of 'perversion of the course of justice' and 'perjury' and 'slander' where I live, and vindictive liars have been caught and sent to prison for it where I live.

I've noticed RF is further left than me.
I remember my first lengthy discussion on this forum, with a CSA apologist who dressed me down because I was insinuating that slavery was an immoral cause. I've also seen posts by fascist supporters and literal fascists, and by people who think social problems are caused by either gay men or women with loose morals.

I obviously don't know everything about your political beliefs - and I've been wrong about people in this regard before - but personally I strongly doubt that those people are further left than you are on literally any issue that matters.

Who were?
Who were there and lived it?

Sex crime victims are many who were there, but don't forget that there are also liars in the World, and vexatious claims have not been unknown.

Yes?

If someone is lying on purpose then they are still "sure about the facts", they are just lying about the facts. Your statement makes no sense either way.

That's a different issue. It shouldn't stop people who are actually harmed from speaking out though. "Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater" as they say.

I doubt those people would be. Though I've decided to choose spiritual faith to a degree over things like sitting there and critical thinking away any chance at beliefs. And my starting to follow left hand path so far, causes me to look more inward instead of outward, which leads to individualism, which can affect the political scale.

I have never suggested that crime victims should not report all to police.
Never.
But no defendant should be convicted or ruined without trial, imo.

I've detained and given evidence against a few sex criminals in my time.

I've seen abusers file civil lawsuits against their former victims for speaking out.
This seems to happen most frequently when the abuser can afford a lengthy trial and their victim cannot.

Can you start over and tell me exactly what your problem is in one clear summary? Someone's missing something or we all are.

Nevermind btw. I'm not going to be around to answer. Someone else might be interested though.
