Why the fall of Christianity? The status quo of the US was Christianity.......................]
I wonder was it really Christianity or ' Christendom ' ( so-called Christian but mostly in name only ) as the status quo. (Acts 20:28-30).
False clergy teaching 'fake news' instead of the 'good news of God's kingdom' (Daniel 2:44) as being the solution for mankind.
Look at Christendom's track record here in the US. Part of the MANY of Matthew 7:21-23.
Human government in the US can't stop self interests and greed. Humans can't outlaw selfish interests and greed.
Thus, today we see the result of the distorted form of ' love ' as described in 2 Timothy 3:1-5,13.
Due to false clergy teachings ' spiritual waters ' (people) have 'dried up spiritually' and will continue - Revelation 17:1; Revelation 17:15
Not ' wheat ' Christianity that has fallen, but the fake ' weed/tares ' have fallen and their days are numbered.

Were you home schooled by your Christian parents?

The United States is NOT a Christian theocracy. Sorry to break the good news to you, but it true. It's a democracy with a separation of church and state (government).

Rarely in the history of the world have there been the social institutions, government organization and security to obviate the need for religion.
More and more there is a hauntingly dangerous religious climate brewing in the world today.
With backing the United Nations can be strengthened to become God's arm of the law to get rid of such troublesome religions.
When the powers that be will be saying, " Peace and Security..." that is the precursor to the coming great tribulation of Revelation 7:14,9. 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3

....and in high school we were taught that this 'democracy' can't last much more than 200 some years.

The United States is NOT a Christian theocracy. Sorry to break the good news to you, but it true. It's a democracy with a separation of church and state (government).

Even having those supreme papers and constitution, the society has functioned as if the US was a Christian country (for example, public led prayers in school prior to 1962, and public led Bible study prior to 1963 in schools).

You can pray all you please in schools. Teachers just can't lead it as a class activity during school hours. I used to bring my Bible with me, leave it on the desk and read it during school.

Brave little one! Please look at the video below. I think, that between the demolition of the public led prayer in schools, and today the freedom to demonstrate own religious beliefs in schools was unofficially demolished as badly:

Because God decided that Christians (and other religious folk) needed to start focusing on God in their own hearts rather than trying to impose their standards on others.

"go and teach all the nations, by baptizing them" (Jesus Christ).

The founding fathers wanted to avoid religious tyranny, not embrace it. If your religion can't survive without it being imposed upon others them it deserves to fall. The U.S. is not, was not, nor will be a theocracy.

The theocracy is better than democracy. Look: the fall: Perfect Love -> Theocracy -> Kings -> Democracy -> Demonocracy (the power of demonic forces: deep state) -> total hatred (the second death).

"Democracy is the ruling of the gray mass over genius
..Justifies only one thing .. Mankind has never invented anything better in its entire history. "
(W. Churchill)
Why the war president Churchill has said so? I am observing, that
at each level of degradative fall, a person forgets the previous, higher level. For example, everyone in the Blissful Middle Ages was the theist. Now - more than half of the Russian Federation are atheists who do not know what it means to believe in God and why it is needed.

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works
Revelation 2:4-5

Which has nothing to do with my statement of:

The Christian not according to the supreme papers, but according to actual ways of living, lifestyle.
How were Christians allowed to live their lifestyle when the Constitution did not allow them to persecute homosexual people openly, did not allow them to ban anti-Christian speech and teachings, and did not allow them to dominate and persecute non-Christian religions?

Are these things not integral to a Christian lifestyle as you envision it?

The drying up of her waters is thus no surprise, and in fulfillment of Bible prophecy. The end is very near.
Can you recall a time in the last thousand or two years when the end was NOT very near in the opinion of people who like quoting Revelation?

I can't.

And they all live their lives and die without experiencing the joy of seeing THE END written in fire on the sky and and shouting I TOLD YOU SO! at their neighbors.

Because every generation can be the last, we have always hope, that we will never die.
If a human knows, that he will surely die, it is a horrible and destructive feeling. Even Jesus Christ has not wanted to die. Why? Because Death is the name of the satan, he is horrible, absolutely terrible.

There were none of these things in the public area because all people had the feeling of shame.
The sinners were underground. We were a nation of saints:

I don't hope that I'll never die. A world without death is unimaginable.

Not one I'm familiar with ─ which seems odd, since I have not the faintest doubt that I'll die.
Even Jesus Christ has not wanted to die.
In all four versions of the death of Jesus, his death is by crucifixion, and it's very reasonable not to want to die in that particular way.

However, Mark's Jesus is a forlorn and abandoned figure; Matthew's not quite so despairing; Luke's more positive still, so he omits 'Why have you forsaken me?' ; and John's is confident, in charge, more like the MC than the victim. So you can take your pic of Jesus' attitude to his own death.
Why? Because Death is the name of the satan, he is horrible, absolutely terrible.
Death is simply the end of life. It has happened, is happening, and will happen to every human ─ indeed, bar a couple of possible odd exceptions, to every living thing. One may fear dying, perhaps ─ though modern palliative care in the First World is pretty good ─ but not being dead.
We were a nation of saints
Who is 'we' in that sentence? I can't think of any nation, existing or past, that would qualify for such a title.

SCHOOL PRAYER:

If we demand that others accept our God and pray to our God, and not worship any God but ours, that would violate the separation of Church and State. If we instituted forced prayer in schools to Satan, and extolled the virtues of Satan, and forced the kids to stand by their desks and also express how they love Satan, that would be anti-Christian. If we ridicule non-Satan worshiping theists, for not worshiping Satan, and single them out in schools for not worshiping as we want them to, that would embarrass Christians. Yet, the Satanist could easily argue that banning forced prayer in school is taking away their religion.

Is that "taking away religion" or is that allowing everyone to worship as they want in a church (not school)?

A good test for forced school prayer is substitution of the Christian religion for Satanism. That is, ask yourself if you would want your kid to be forced to believe something contrary to their religious upbringing. In short, if it isn't fair to cram Satanism down kids throats, it also isn't fair to cram your particular religion down kids throats.

Jews should have the right to practice the Jewish religion. Muslims should have the right to practice the Muslim religion (unless they interpret that to mean crashing planes into US skyscrapers or firebombing pizza parlors for their 72 virgin reward in heaven).

ROE V WADE:

Half the nation believes one thing, and the other half believes another. The issue is "when does life begin?" Christians say at inception. It could be argued that the billions of sperm are potential life, and they must be saved. It could also be argued that the thousands of eggs that are wasted should be fertilized and allowed to grow up. If so, there would be a huge population boom (1,000 times more people every month). Pro-abortion people say that a fetus, without brain activity, is just a collection of cells, and though it is potential life (like sperm or eggs) it isn't yet life, and may be aborted. They then consider the mother to have rights about how she treats her body. Couldn't the same be argued about after a child is born (mom has rights to go out to bars instead of feeding the kid)? Trump correctly places the abortion issue in the hands of state legislatures and their governors (because of the 50-50 split in thinking). This would at least allow some states to stop abortions, and those would act as examples to the rest of the US regarding adoption (instead of abortion). I believe that abortion is not a substitute for a condom. Christian groups have been opposing condoms (because they "might" condone intercourse). Yet, condoms prevent "most" STDs (unless they break or leak), including AIDS. Condoms also "partially" prevent unwanted pregnancies, unwanted abortions, and unwanted kids.

The legal decision of Roe V Wade was designed to give privacy rights to women (regarding their own bodies), but stopped short of stopping governments from stepping in for health or safety reasons.

SUMMARY:

The issues are far more complex than an "attack on Christianity." Rather, the various decisions have to do with the rights of others to worship as they please and abort due to their view of life. Other issues likewise are complicated and deserve more discussion, and can't be assumed to take Christian rights.

You are from a parallel world of atheism. We are in the realm of theism. That is why it is odd. But in our world, there is the song: "forever young", YouTube.
