Flat Earth is Science now? Peer-review is dying.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
The Dr. Sabine Hossenfelder has seriously studied the Flat Earth idea and found, that it is wrong, but not unscientific. Thus, soon it will be correct and scientific. When is your estimate when there peer-review papers of Flat-Earth will start?

More about problems of peer-review:
Middle Ages God under scrutiny of XX century peers. Can peer-review be too peer?
Peer-review is good but corrupt and dying.

Please check for Flat Earth the arXiv.
The only thing scientific is the study of people who believe in things like that.

Flat Earth has never been seriously considered for hundreds of years. Dr Sabine Hossenfelder has never published in a serious scientific journal the proposal, because of the demands of peer review. Actually you asked when . . .? Why would you think it would ever be published in peer reviewed journal on Flat Earth? By the way she has publish articles on Physics with no mention of the Flat earth.

For example anyone can pay and post their Their articles on the Flat Earth may post on Eiseview, without serious peer review of those scientists in the discipline of the publication. She may be able to publish here.

If you believe this you really don't understand the scientific method at all.

Science can become stronger, and weaker. Science can begin. So, Science can die. All depends on the will of the majority. The Flat Earth movement becomes stronger. I believe there are reasons why the Bible supports Flat Earth: they have made A-bomb and methodological atheism. And the second one is what the "crisis in cosmology" (Google).

If an unthinkable becomes debatable-discussible, soon it will become acceptable (Chesterton)

Everything is open to discussion, but you are considering a huge streeeeetch of the the association fallacy is an informal inductive fallacy of the hasty-generalization or red-herring type and which asserts, by irrelevant association and often by appeal to emotion, that qualities of one thing are inherently qualities of another. See: Association fallacy - Wikipedia.

Bizarre confusing statements. There is no evidence in history that science has ever been defeated. Of course, ancient mythical beliefs are eventually defeated, like Flat Earth and geocentrism, even though some have been barbequed for opposing them.

All depends on the will of the majority.

Science has never been ruled by the majority. It is ruled by the objective verifiable evidence. It is often the case that the minority often wins over time as with Einstein and later modified with new evidence.

The Flat Earth movement becomes stronger. I believe there are reasons why the Bible supports Flat Earth: they have made A-bomb and methodological atheism. And the second one is what the "crisis in cosmology" (Google).

Why would the Flat Earth hypothesis ever become stronger, because there is absolutely no objective evidence for it?

Please do not assert by the shotgun approach of Google search.

Science has officially pronounced "crisis in cosmology". Thus, round Earth cosmology with Big Bang is wrong. The Flat Earth - alternative cosmos. The humankind rules over science, not the science rules over humankind. The humankind watched too much Harry Potter and UFO style films, so Science is a bit less popular. So, less strong. Less alive.

Ha ha ha!

Oh wait, you're serious.....

Google the term.

Denial of climate science, evolutionary science, epidemiological science, etc. has paved the way for this sort of nonsence, which no doubt gives you smug satisfaction.
Why would the Flat Earth hypothesis ever become stronger, because there is absolutely no objective evidence for it?

The call to defund Science is less weird than the call to defund the Police. I mean, they have failed to address "climate change".

"Failed to address"?
Just because a bunch of Christians block attempts to make policies addressing the science(Because the Apocalypse:rolleyes:) and oil executives can purchase government officials, doesn't mean scientific people haven't addressed climate change. It just means scientists don't have as much political power as Big Oil or Big Christianity.

No coherent response.

That isn't what she said at all. As the title of the video says; "Wrong, but not stupid". In the video she basically explains that flat earth proponents aren't scientific but that it's not their fault because science is difficult to understand (and that scientists need to do better to help laymen understand and accept it).

Thus, soon it will be correct and scientific. When is your estimate when there peer-review papers of Flat-Earth will start?
Why would it suddenly become correct? There is never going to be any scientific work on any flat earth model until someone comes up with a complete and, significantly, internally consistent one. As the video also points out, one of their core problems is that the individual ideas commonly suggested for different elements of a flat earth model don't all work together and aren't consistent with all basic observations (let alone actual scientific ones).

Google: "we live in post-Christian era."
We don't. I don't care what kind of fake news sites claim differently.
Here in America the government is dominated by the rich and the Christian.

Calling us "post-Christian" makes about as much sense as saying we're "post-Money". Trump is rather the poster boy for modern Christianity, and he's President.
