My brother was a classmate of P.C. Sorcar Jr., a renowned magician himself and the son of the most famous magician of India Sorcar Sr. He used various tricks. Hundreds of fake Indian Holy men show these tricks to public to impress people. I think there are even better magicians today, whose exploits are shown on Discovery channel. I doubt if Jesus could do all that. But the tricks of these magicians do not prove the existence of God.

Neither. Nor should you follow the "facts." Following facts is generally a good idea, but it depends on the time period.
You should not follow the facts in old soviet Russia for insrance because all facts were propaganda. Nor should you follow the facts in any point that they look biased. The first skill to learn is discernment and critical thinking.
But you should neither follow the many or the few.
Let's look at the few. The "experts." Many people trust the opinion of their weather forecaster, reasoning that they have a meteorology degree and know what they are talking about. Actually, it depends on the station. Some networks take people with any degree, but particularly business or telecommunications, and what they really want is someone who sounds official rather than someone actually educated. The people making a forecast for the "forecaster" just stare at projection screens and extrapolate. It's not an exact science. "This hurricane is going to head up the shore smashing the entire coastline." Ummm no actually , it's gonna hit Florida and Haiti. Like it usually does. And I'm gonna go to sleep and not worry. Like (increasingly as of late) nervous nelly mother (Mom, please just breathe). And Haiti will probably as for more money as they are a basketcase country dependent on handouts, which has stripped most of their foliage bare to build subpar housing. Then there's "climate scientists" involved in your weather, who are experts with a political axe to grind. They are right even less than your typical media presence forecaster because they will always try to sensationalize the weather. Higher predictions for floods, warmer temperatures to create a global warming bias (they fiddle with numbers, throwing out low ones, etc), or just straight push politics.
Official readings show no warming in US over last 15+ yrs.
Byt how accurate are licensed meteorology degree forecasters? 90%, 80%, and 50%. That is for five day readings, they are 90% sure, 80% sure for seven day, and beyond that, about 50%. That sounds great, except that 50% is a coin flip, 80% is a 2/10 failure rate, and even though 90% sounds like you can't lose, find some d10 dice. It isn't one in every ten, it's a random luck deal. I had some dice handy. In four rolls, I hit 7, 7, 4, and 7. In ten rolls, I got around five 7s. If 90% had a 7 every time you miss, you miss pretty often.

And why shouldn't you trust the many? Well, let's look at climate science again. Suppose you heard this statistic. "There is a consensus among climate scientists that climate is probably changing." Name things wrong with this! First, we have the weasel word probably, which makes the entire thing worthless. But consensus is not science. Nor should you trust the masses. They may be hysterical. Even back in the 17th century, you could still find tribes of people who had witch doctors and stuff. Much of this today is sanitized to be Politically Correct, and these witch doctors are now called regional faith experts. But the native residents know they're witch doctors. Likewise, phone psychics aren't much different from what used to happen. And just because many people believe in superstition, doesn't make it real.
In the end, you should trust yourself. You can decide for yourself what to trust, and it will usually be more accurate than the opinions of experts or a bunch of people. And you should try to be able to trust your friends. When you can't have friends anymore, life is really hard. In the time of Jesus, Jesus's followers trusted Jesus. In the time of Noah, everyone followed the weather predictions of their day, except for Noah's family.

Propaganda is not facts. There may be facts within propaganda, of course. But you would need to strip away the propaganda and then be left with the facts. Propaganda may be presented as fact, but that does not make it a fact. Propaganda is ever present even today...from governments, political parties, corporations, etc.
Yes, whether many or few, the number of people who believe something does not speak to it's truthfulness.
I prefer to follow truth. Even if only a minority agree with me.

Matthew 7:13-14 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
It says that few find the small gate and the narrow road that leads to life.
But 2.4 billion people have found Jesus because that is how many Christians there are in the world.
I believe that those verses applied to Christians of 2,000 years ago when few had found Jesus but those verses are do not apply to Christians of today. Given 29% of people in the world are Christians many have entered through that gate so it must be a wide gate and a broad road, not the narrow gate that few find.
In short, the narrow gate was Christianity thousands of years ago when Jesus uttered those words, because few had found it Jesus, but Christianity is no longer the narrow gate because Christians are not few anymore.

The religion at the narrow gate is the gate that leads to eternal life. But it is not that easy for most people to find this gate because most people are steeped in religious tradition or attached to what they already believe. If they do not have a religion, most people are suspicious of the new religion and the new messenger. If they are atheists they do not like the idea of messengers of God or they think they are all phonies.
Jesus told us to enter through the narrow gate, the gate that leads to eternal life, and He said few people would find that gate... It is narrow, so it is difficult to get through... It is difficult to get through because one has to be willing to give up all their preconceived ideas, have an open mind, and think for themselves. Most people do not normally embark upon such a journey. They go through the wide gate, the easy one to get through – their own religious tradition or their own preconceived ideas about God or no god. They follow that broad road that is easiest for them to travel. That is human nature.

Many Christians believe they are the remnant people, but obviously they cannot all be the remnant people because 29% of people in the world are Christians, and that is more than a remnant.
So who is to say who the remnant people are?
