Question for both theists and atheists.

@Theists. Do you think something can make you an atheist someday ?
@Atheists. Do you think something can make you a theist someday ?

Or, it's the final statement that will never change ?

I used to be an atheist back when I felt the word god was synonymous with the Abrahamic concept. I of course knew that other concepts of deity existed long before the Abrahamic one but it just didn't occur to me to give them any serious consideration.

I think if for some reason I went back to viewing the omnimax interpretation of Yahweh as the only thing that can properly be called a god, then I would become an atheist again.

Well I am not so arrogant as to believe change is not possible - for any particular belief - but it might take some incontrovertible evidence for me to plump down on to one side or the other. Currently it allies with atheism, since it makes a lot more sense than anything that any religion has to say about gods or God. And it doesn't really bother me not to be able to definitely believe in either.

If so, it would likely be paganism or a form of polytheism. That, or if I had I took time to gain more insight first, I'd probably look more into Eastern traditions. The latter makes more sense to me, but there's still a lot of cultural barriers even if I was ready to go that direction.

I could be made to believe there was a god - but the evidence bar is high - I can't envisage me ever 'worshipping' it though.

I doubt that. Even if my religious views change one day, my belief in a superior being that created the universe is very solid, it's something I had my entire life. Experience my change my life, but my faith, I really don't think so.

Sure. I can think of a plethora of things that can make me a theist, again.
